Indeed it was. It was very painful walking out of the theatre. I mean, all your happy emotions almost vanished until you realised it was just a movie.MICKEYMOUSE wrote:Million Dollaor Baby was amazing, and sooo sad too!!!

I was watching Lilo & Stitch today and when Stitch was reading the story of the ugly duckling, and then saw the duck family cross his path, he just looked so sad, and it just made me tear.
Animated movies can make me cry pretty easily, but very few live action movies have that effect.

When I was a child, there were two movies which I remember crying at, quite a bit, while watching them:
Old Yeller, and E.T.
As an adult, there a several that have caused me to cry/tear up:
Beaches, Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Passion of the Christ, Million Dollar Baby (which I just watched, yesterday, and really sobbed during this one), and my favorite movie of all time, The Color Purple. There are probably others, but those are the few that I can think of, right now.

Two classics turn on the sprinklers for me - one is a Disney classic and the other is just a great classic.
Old Yeller makes me tear up no matter how often I watch it. Almost any movie of this type does it for me.
Lassie Come Home is the other movie that makes me well up. I guess I am a sucker for dog movies.

Escape From The Planet Of The Apes
I cried when the two monkeys was killed at the very end.
Also, we saw their baby CRYING for his mommy.
that was heartbroken to watch.

Spirit Alien
I have the spirit of an alien.
I need to find my own kind.
I must shed off the dreadful human skin.
It is very uncomfortable.

I never used to cry watching movies but after going through quite a rough period from 1995-2005 I have become a blubbering mess at times.
E.T. - When I was less emotional this movie made me cry. Before I went through my problems it was the only movie that could do it. I get more emotion from it than any other movie out there. That is why it is my favourite movie of all time.
The Lion King - I never saw it in theatre so the first time was on video and the first time was the same time I lost my dad so you can put the two together.
Forrest Gump - It never used to but watching it again last week it had that effect on me.
Requiem for a Dream - It's just so tragic.
Gladiator - That one gets me worked up... his family, the ending.
Titanic - The part that got me was at the ending... when Rose is walking through the door and is being greeted by everyone. What also is upsetting is the steerage passangers that didn't make it. The reality of what happened there gets to me.
There are others but those are the main ones I can think of at this moment.

Mask (the one with Cher and Eric Stoltz) when she puts the tacks on the map and tells him "you can go anywhere you want, baby" or something to that effect.
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

Yeah, I watched that movie in biology.Siren wrote:Gorillas in the Mist got me when they took away the baby gorilla Diane Fosey was caring for. Digit's death and burial was always upsetting. And her death also made me sad and angry at the same time.
If I hadn't have been surrounded by classmates, I probably would have shed a tear.
Is it true that Diane Fossey was actually murdered during the production/pre-production of Gorillas in the Mist??

I don't think I've ever actually CRIED during a movie, but there was one movie that got me all teared up...
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
(I'll mark this as SPOILERS but there is NO reason for you not to have seen that movie
)
There were like three parts where I teared up:
1. When the "Star Wars" logo came up on the screen (right after "A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away...")
2. When they killed Count Dooku (he was a great character and died way too early in the film)
3. When the mask was finally put on Darth Vader.
It was all so emotional for me!

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I'd have to say that I teared up when I was watching Yankee Doodle Dandy when his father died and when he marches in the parade at the end.
