She looked so good in that dress and with orange hair. :o

I don't really care. Her movies haven't really been good lately with the exception of Mean Girls. Do you guys think this is the movie she keeps saying she dyed her hair for?

Actually, if this works out, it will be her 7th Disney film (The Parent Trap, Life-Size, Get A Clue, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and Herbie: Fully Loaded). It is a shame though. I really like the movies that she does and I think she acts very well. It is ironic though that she does so many Disney movies aimed towards child audiences and yet she is not a role model for kids IMO. O well, I do like her as an actress and I never have seen the original.

No, this was for her roll in 'A Prarie Home Companion', in which she'll co-star with Meryl Streep.

I somewhat like Lindsey! I liked her in both Parent Trap and Freaky Friday! This seems a bit like overkill though!

I agree with MMP that Tim Allen should play the Dad! :D

Yea, wasn't this said long time ago...regarding a remake of SFR? :p

Anyways, I dunno...Lindsay and Disney remakes; is that the thing now? I haven't seen Herbie, but it doesn't look as great (I really don't know why I said it'd reach $100 M ), but I liked Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. So maybe this'll be good. I don't blame Disney for putting her in a remake. Look how bad Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen was! :headshake:

I hope she'll go back to her old self, appearance wise, when she stars in this upcoming movie.

Lindsay Lohan will rock in Swiss Family Robinson.
I hope Tim Allen surfs on UD cause he was born for the Mr. Robinson (Dad) part!!!! If Disney signs Tim Allen the movie will make at least 100 Million +.

I think so TOO! But even thou I do like her films Lindsay should start doing other things no just Disney remakes. I mean what’s next "coming to theaters 2007.Lindsay Lohan. Pollyanna" but since she looks too old they try to reduce most of her sizes to where she looks like she is fresh off The Parent Trap.

She is actually, she's filming 'A Prarie Home Companion' with Meryl Streep, and she just completed Fox's 'Just My Luck'.

In the article it said the Robinson Family is shipwrecked on a desert island. What? How are they supposed to survive? The original there were beaches and jungles.

I'm upset that they're putting her in this movie. I highly doubt she'll play the mother. She'll most likely be the shipwrecked girl they find in the 2nd half of the story. It's a big role, but not as big as the actual family so I'm worried Disney and the general public will label this as another Lindsay Lohan movie (all her past ones were).

The 1960s original is my favorite of the Disney live action movies and I got worried when they said they would modernize it for the remake. Then it was changed back to the appropriate time period, but is that set in stone yet? I'd hate for it to be modernized b/c of Lohan.

It could say either. A deserted island has no people, while a desert island is an island that's mostly desert.

I've seen every Lindsay Lohan movie (aside from Get a Clue, but I'll rent that at some point), but this is one I probably wont see since I didn't like the original. The preview would have to really blow me over. Didn't they already his movie not to long ago? On the Wonderful World of Disney or something?

There's such a thing as taking the remakes too far; and I think this is the direction that Disney is headed in. Swiss Family Robinson is in absolutely no need a remake. The original is a great movie; and one of my more favourite childhood movies. I had a number of old Disney movies recorded off of the Wonderful World of Disney program that used to air on Sundays, and I can't even begin to guess how many times I watched this and the others I'd recorded like Blackbeard's Ghost, That Darn Cat, The Cat from Outer Space, The Shaggy Dog, The Three Lives of Thomasina Now You See Him, Now You Don't, etc.

Disney should really stop screwing with these movies.

Yup-Beverly Hills Family Robinson with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Martin Mull, and The New Swiss Family Robinson with Jane Seymour and James Keech.
