Opening Scene Survivor - Quasy is the winner!!!

Post by Disney-Fan »

Welcome to the Animated Opening Scene Survivor Round 13.

Please note if you do not have 50 posts, your vote will not be counted.

This is a contest in which we aim to find out what UD members think is the most dramatic, intense, epic or climatic opening to an animated feature film. Please remeber, we are voting for a specific scene, not the movie as a whole. Please vote accordingly.

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to have voted in previous rounds.

Rules are simple. 1 film will leave and not make it through to the next round, there are 3 days for voting with every round.

We are voting for the opeing sequence we like most!

We each have 1 vote! You vote for 1 film!

Please make your votes in bold if making a long post which mentions more than one film to avoid confusion.

Happy voting!

Circle of Life
This round will [ironically] be the least thrilling of them all...

Well, we all know what's going to win. This is hard, but one has to go.

Just in case miracles do happen on July 13, I pick The Hunchback of Notre Dame - The Bells of Notre Dame.

Don't doubt it, at this rate, if UD members are thinking Hunchback is not a challenege and are voting because they want to be part of the "B" crowd, then I don't think Lion King won't have much choice.

Definition
Crowd B- people who want to be different than anybody else for a change.

Actually some of us are voting for the Hunchback because we find The Lion King overated and hyped up (even though it is a good movie, but not anywhere near the best disney movie)

Why are you judging the movie as a whole or for being hyped when you're supposed to vote for the opening sequence only? Unfair.

Why are you considering everyone who votes for the thing you do not wish to win part of the "B crowd?" Like he said, some of us think the OPENING of TLK is overrated. I know I do. It may be a better movie overall, but the Hunchback's opening is more "dramatic, intense, epic or climatic."

I don't think The Lion King's opening is overrated; it deserves the credit it gets. I just like Hunchback's opening a little better. "Bells of Notre Dame" is such a powerful and excellent song, especially when it's wrapping up and the title of the movie appears on screen.
