I bet that the best of Wave 3 will actually be the Wartime or Tomorrow Land one, but who cares which is best, all of these look very, very awesome!!! Between this and the Looney Tunes Golden Collection, I will have a lot of classic cartoons to be watching at Christmas!

Also, I don't see the big deal with Frontlines, ofcoarse I'm looking forward to it to, cause it seems like it might be cool, but to say it is going to be the BEST treasure of the collection and so on and so on, seems a little much. I just hope a lot of people aren't dissapionted come this december....

The tin I'm most looking forward to is MICKEY!!! I am so looking forward to seeing some of those old cartoons I haven't seen since my childhood, and being introduced to some new ones that I've never seen before! This by far seems to be the best treasure to me, with Frontlines and Donald following up behind!

Still up in the air about Tomarrow land, thinking about getting it for completeness sake, but I am just not made of money, and don't think I should throw away the cash for something I may or may not enjoy, especailly when so many DVD's are coming out this holiday season!

I think the big deal with this particular set is that it contains shorts that have either not received wide distribution, or have not ever been released here in the United States. We always hear about Disney's War contribution but we rarely get to see any of the work. Disney jealously guards their image of family entertainer and have had a long standing policy of suppressing anything of theirs that might be deemed offensive to whatever ideological party. We see this with song of the south, or the edited Fantasia, or even the original MMILC volume which gave us Three little Pigs in the sanitized version. To their credit however, they did show a clip from the peddlar scene, with a Maltin explenation. Thats what gives these treasures such a unique niche. They have allowed Disney to let their guard down temporarily and in a limited manner to show us some of these more controversial materials. Front Lines is the manifest result of this. For me, this is why it is one of my most anticipated releases. Hopefully unedited!!!!!

Well said, plus we get so much crap today, it's refreshing to get something filled with nostalgia and clean production values when people weren't worried about being PC. Wartime is going to show that.

I think many are excited about Front Lines because most of these shorts will not be available again.

Those without DD, etc. are not going to have the marketing power to ever rate wide release, so this could be your only chance to get them.

The color MM shorts will always show up, in some form, on TV or DVD.

I had the read-a-long book with cassette tape for years, but alas i don't know where it is now. now all that i have is a crappy copy i taped off of tv probably about 10 or more years ago! i'm so looking forward to it!!!

As a few others have stated earlier, this is content that we really have not had access to before. Thanks to the Treasures Collection we have a chance to own a piece of history in Disney's efforts to help out on the homefront during WWII. I really do think it will be one of the most sought-after Tins in Wave 3 and wouldn't at all be surprised if it rivaled MMiLC2 every step of the way.
