Sorry, Maerj! Didn't mean to isolate something you wanted to change. :)

Prince Eric wrote:We were not bashing Star Wars, especially me, since I have said plenty of times the new titles are adequate entertainment. However, I was just supporting an earlier opinion that it's sort of disconcerting when people arbitrarily name drop for the simple reason of liking a film or because of sentimental value. I adore the work of Mira Nair and Curtis Weitz. Greatest directors of all time? Hardly. :)
Ironically, I hadn't even read the posts on the previous pages before making the retracted statement. The retracted statement was a generalization not directed toward you or anyone else in particular. Also, I don't believe I was even claiming that Lucas was to be included on a 'Greatest Director's of all Time' list, although if someone wanted to include him I wouldn't argue as it would be that person's personal decision. But I do appreciate the time you took to stop and explain things.

Who are you to say what film is...?
I'm not attacking, I would just like everyone to actually think for a moment, what gives one the right to say what film and what isn't, what's art and what's not. I think it could make a very interesting debate.
