Well, at least they keep rolling them out on DVD!DisneyFan 2000 wrote:Sad, but true. What happened to old fashioned Looney Tunes? I really miss 'em...
Let's face it, Disney lost its magic. How to come back...

Sorry if I misread. Go for Monsters, Inc and A Bug's Life. I own them both and love them.DisneyFan 2000 wrote:You know I'm going for either Monsers Inc and Bug's Life or Looney Tunes. That R2 set sure is expensive!

Will do. After much deliberation I decided it would be best if I hold off with the Looney Tunes since its release date is much more recent so chances of this set to become OOP in the near future are slim to none. Thanks for the help guys!

True, but I believe it was mainly because live action=cheap. That's why during WWII, Disney made Saludos Amigos, Song of the South etc... it's just soo much cheaper to make a live action movie with animated parts rather than a full length animated movie. Plus, people would have had a fit to see a CGI Bugs. 2-D will come back, you guys will see. All it takes is for a 3D movie to bomb and a 2D movie to be great. The wonders of 3D are slowly fading away anyway. All in due time I believe we'll see a healthy mixture of both, it might just take a while.2099net wrote: So why did it need "actors" in the first place? Because Warners had no confidence in a non-CGI animated movie.

Actually I believe it is far likelier for the Looney Tunes DVDs to disappear first, some stores have already stopped carrying them and those that have them left the prices have gone quite high. Plus I would get the R1s, so much cheaper than the R2 sets.DisneyFan 2000 wrote:Will do. But then I could only watch them on my computer with colour... Besides, Amazon appears to have plenty of the set and it was released only a few months ago. Monsters / Bugs Life was released nearly 3 years ago!
Wait a moment, Disney only puts its DVDs in the vault at the beginning of the year, right?
