Fantasia Survivor: The Finals!!!!!!!!!(WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

Post by Raydawggie »

As a tribute to the winner of Ultimate Animated Film Survivor, I am conducting this game. We will vote among the 8 segments of the original Fantasia, and one will be voted off each round until we have a winner, and that will be the Ultimate Winner of Disney's animation. Fantasia 2000 segments will not be included, for the sole reason that they'd have no chance at winning this!

Rules:(Adapted from Ichabod's rules for Ultimate Animated Film Survivor)

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to have voted in previous rounds.

Please note if you do not have 50 posts, your vote will not be counted.

Rules are simple. 1 segment will leave and not make it through to the next round.

Editing votes is fine! Scheming is what makes Survivor so much fun!

The rules are different for this round. In the finale, the round will run for 48 hours instead of 24. The first segment to reach ten votes to win will be crowned the champion. If, after 48 hours, no segment has reached 10 votes, the segment with the most votes will win. If there is a tie, we revote and the first segment to reach 5 votes will win!

We are voting for the segment we want to win!

We each have 1 vote! You vote for 1 segment!

Please make your votes in bold if making a long post which mentions more than one film to avoid confusion.

Happy voting!

Segments in the Running:

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

A Night on Bald Mountain

Have fun! Voting ends 3:00 EST on Sunday or when we have a winner!!!!

Voted out:

Round one: Toccata and Fugue

Round two: Rite of Spring

Round three: The Nutcracker Suite

Round four: Ave Maria

Round five: Dance of the Hours

Round six: The Pastoral Symphony

I have wanted Night on Bald Mountain to win since day one. It's a timeless segment, and gave us one of Disney's most memorable villains. For a character who's never spoken a line, Chernabog makes an indelible mark on Disney's history. It's majestic, scary, and awesome in the best Disney fashion. Sorcerer's Apprentice is a great, fun segment, and I can see why it's so popular. But it never stuck in my mind like Night on Bald Mountain. Plus, if Night on Bald Mountain wins, I'll finally be able to say that one of my favorites won it all!

The Sorceror's Apprentice

I would write an explanation of why I want this to win, but I want to get this posted fast.

Oh, what the heck. I love this segment. It is my favorite segment in Fantasia and one of my favorite things to come from Disney before Walt died. Maybe I love it because Mickey Mouse is one of my favorite characters in history, maybe I love it because of all the beautiful animation, or maybe it's because of how you can understand every moment perfectly by just listening to the music. I guess it's because of all three. The Sorceror's Apprentice is a timeless classic that has entertained Disney fans for decades and it deserves to win the survivor.

A Night on Bald Mountain. The ultimate vision of evil. It's the only thing memorable about Fantasia.

Geez. It's a tie so far. Every time I come back to check, it's yet another tie. This is going to be a hard one.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice has always been a memorable part of my childhood.

One of my favorite memories was driving to Disneyland and then when we passed the Disney Animation Studios I would say, "There's the Mickey Mouse Hat!" It just was always something special to me. Seeing the "Mickey hat" and going to Disneyland.

Anyways the scene itself is wonderful. The music is better than anything else in Fantasia, and I just love Mickey(then again who doesn't).

GO MICKEY!!!!

I won't be online again to count the votes until 10 AM tomorrow. So if a segment passes ten votes before then, I won't make the announcement until then. Don't worry, I won't have gone AWOL.

I'd hate to be so unoriginal, but The Sorcerer's Apprentice really deserves to win.
