Post by Yaya »

Anyone from Fort Worth, TX? There is a DVD store that has copy of B&B for $16.99 and its in awesome condition, it even has the slipcover. Just letting anyone who lives around here where they can find it.

Well, I'm not from Ft. Worth, but I'd gladly pay for someone to buy it and ship it to FL!

And that would bring the grand total of the DVD to how much?
Good idea Alan.

You chastise me for buying Mulan for $19.99 (because you only buy your Disney DVDs for 10 dollars and under) and then say that someone should spend $200+ to get B&B.

I mean it IS OOP.... but really!

Unless of course that DVD is Very valuable like for $6700000000000. but why would they sell it for $16??

Gee, maybe I should do that! Let's see..out of the slave labor that I do for Walt Disney World, I can make JUST ENOUGH for a plane ticket within...oh gosh, a month! But look! According to Expedia, that price is for the flight today! And gosh, I'm here at UD reading this, I doubt between now and 9:24 AM I'll be able to scrounge up $540 and find a ride to the airport, NOT TO MENTION a hotel room. It'd be easier for me to rob a bank.

Or, I could just call up a nice little man with a bag full of money since he makes $1000 a day and say, "Hey nice little man! It's Albert! I want to go down to Fort Worth to buy an OOP copy of Beauty and the Beast with a slipcover! Can you lend me your money for a plane ticket and a hotel?"

The things you say, Alan...it makes it REALLY REALLY hard for me to take you seriously. :headshake:

Escapay I agree completely. That is plain stupid to spend $540 + to buy a $17 dvd.

Alan, you really need to learn some common sense, I don't know what your finanical situation is, but not everybody (including me) can afford to blow $540 + just to go somewhere to buy a dvd.

Honestly Alan, you need to enter REALITY!!!

I second what Escapay and Disney Guru have said...the harsh truth is that you're looking a bit of an oddball if you say stupid things like written, Alan.

Alan, I really hope that was just a joke! :o

I'm sure that there's a handful of stores that carry things OOP for a decent price simply because people like us haven't devoured the shelves yet. Quite a while back I saw a copy of the animated 101 Dalmatians at a music store after it was long out of print but I didn't pick it up as it was going for SRP (about $35, yikes). I figured that I could easily wait since I didn't care for the lack of real bonus features (oh wow, full color artwork on disc?!!! ) and my VHS will suit me just fine until I wait for the platinum.

And besides, I'm sure the platinum edition will have a slipcover.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at FYE when I saw it last Christmas. Brand new and everything, it was even $24.99!

Uh, Alan, since nobody has posted in this thread since July 1st, I'm pretty sure everyone has "lightened up" by now. This was kind of a pointless bump.

Of course, since I just posted here, I'm adding to the pointlessness. Horray for hypocrisy!
