This is going to be one of the biggest DVDs for Disney. Toy Story is a HUGE frasnchise for Disney, apparently they want to make it as good as possible. If they were to go to the people for any DVD suggestions it would be for this one!
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

Look at it this way. Picture the new cover and erase Woody and Buzz. I did it on paint, and it didn't look half bad with the characters removed.

Hehe. That's true. It kind of annoys me that Buzz is partially out of the picture. hmm. This reminds of my brother's theory that there's a "macho" guy in every modern(90s) Disney movie. LOL

A few quotes I like & agree with:
I liked the old cover better, the new one looks childish with the new background

instead of a big 10th in the middle of the screen with bubble letters

As someone said before, it doesn not feel collector-ish

how do I put this? It................sucks

I loved the old cover

just making laps around the store sporting it around and going "Yeah, that's mine."

I think the old cover was alot better. It wasn't the greatest cover but it looked pretty good IMO. This new one looks terrible.

LOL, to everyone!!! (including myself!!!) At 1st we had a problems with the 1st cover, now, we have a problems with this new one (I don't mind this new one)!!! :P

LET'S JUST BE HAPPY THAT THIS DVD IS COMING OUT!!!

**The reason they maybe changed the cover is to match the new TOY STORY 2 cover!!! Becuase it would be hard to have 3 characters on the cover with the old format.

It also wont be a bad idea to maybe have both covers out, and have customers pick which one to get.......

You're confusing the Disney spies who read the forum and our complaints about the covers! ;)

This would be cool it they did it.... 1st they have to have a SLIPCOVER for this DVD, and it does look to be that way.....Anyways have the clouds (background) have that shiny look to it (i.e. A BUG'S LIFE, and MARRY POPPINS). Then have Buzz and Woody have that pop/embroidered look to them.....This is how the SLIPCOVER SHOULD BE^^^^

Ahm Ahm Ahm... I had no problems with the old cover! I admired Disney for going all out and being more stylized with their cover! :D

as many of u did i liked the other cover way better, the other other one better, the other one made the toy story movie look so classic and cool (wich nobody needed to do) and this one makes it look way less profesional  (still gonna buy it)

I prefer this cover mainly because of the silver on the old cover meant nothing. But the clouds imo look great! :D Its just the big 10th i dont like...as its as big as the logo itself. Although tbh i have a feeling there will be another finalised cover on the way.
And im sure BHVE UK will be giving us an even better cover..... :P

For Finding Nemo, Incredibles, and Bugs Life they have had a shiny slipcover. I hope that Disney somehow manages to make this shiny too, that way the whole Pixar collection will look like a matching set! Please, SHINY!!! (and old cover too, if possible)

Might I point out that Monsters, Inc. did not have a slipcover of any kind and was never shiny. Neither was the old version CE of A Bug's Life, which many people around here still have.

The new cover is not bad, and I do like the wallpaper instead of the silver becaus it has relivance to the film, but this could be better still. The 10th is annoyingly big and I don't know why they can't just have the red bar say "2-Disc 10th Anniversary Edition" and use the cover space for something else. They've never used a lot of cover space to denote the edition before; it's always been part of the logo or bar on top of the cover. So I find that odd. Also, because Toy Story 2 will not be labeled as a 10th anniversary edition (instead, Special Edition is likely) it makes it even more nonuniform if there's a big 10 on TS1 and...nothing of the sort on TS2. Even though of course they do need to have different names, I want the two of them to be somewhat uniform.

Well don't forget, BVHE UK don't usually do anniversaries, Poppins or Pokey had no mention of the anniversary, so let's hope it's the same with TS! ;)

Unless I missed something, there are some KEY things missing from this DVD edition of Toy Story (which were included on Disc 1 of the UTB).

Toy Treats (all those wonderful bumpers that Pixar did for ABC Saturday Morning cartoons). This is the most glaring missing item and will force me to keep the UTB.

Isolated Sound Effects Track
