From what's been released so far, Gaston doesn't seem to be in it. He might just not have been shown yet.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy get to the castle to find that all the castle staff has been put in the dungeon by Beast. You fight heartless until you get to Belle's room. The dresser, the only enchanted object not imprisoned (how convenient) fills you in and tells you what to do from there. There's a lot more to it, but I forgot it

I think the rest of it was that the Dresser tells you that, for some reason, Beast's locked the other enchanted objects up. You go to find them and have to fight a door boss to get to them. They showed some other Heartless creature (I assume it's a Heartless) as a boss in one of the rooms of the castle (one with lots of pillars).

There were some newer shots of the world on a website that changed its link (and now I can't find it) that showed that one of the Unknowns looked as if he was going to kidnap Belle (he had his arm around her neck) to open Kingdom Hearts again or something to do with it.

I haven't played that boss in forever, but from what I recall, dodge its' attacks and jump and hit it. After a while, it will slump down and stop moving temporarily, so you can hit it without jumping. It will get back up in a while, so repeat the process. If you watch your health, it should be easy.

Yes, this game was one of my main reasons for getting back into Disney again (the other being Brother Bear). And now I'm SERIOUSLY anticipating KH2! Especiallly since the info's been out a while now about a Pirates of the Caribbean world! They've done a good job rendering the world, and to see Sora, Donald and Goofy mingling with the likes of Elizabeth Swann.







Makes my mouth water! And what makes me even happier is that SquareEnix hasn't bothered to put in Pixar worlds in both games, which is good. Retains the solely Disney magic in it.

Hmm...about the worlds, is the Deep Dive world the world where the PoTC characters are supposed to be in? That's getting me confused, cuz if not, the website doesn't have the world for PoTC listed.

No. Deep Dive and PotC are completely different worlds. Don't worry, PotC will have a world if it's own. KHU just hasn't updated their worlds page yet. Deep Dive will probably be the world where most of the plot is revealed. Here's a picture of PotC's world at the map screen.

Why can't I post pictures!? I looked at the FAQ and did the right thing, but it either comes up as a clear box with a red "X", or nothing comes up at all. I'm getting frustrated. I'll get it someday.

Awesome! Man, that is one detailed world map, I'm so stoked! Mulan's world map seemed a little weird to me, I figured they would've shown the snow-covered mountains on the bottom half.

If you want to see a trailer for KH2, when you enter the site, click on the 7th link. You should be taken to a menu with 2 choices; one of them is a video camera. Click on that to see the trailer. Even with DSL, it takes for-freaking-ever to load and the trailer starts off with the boring music from KH1's title screen, but in the second half of the trailer, the music really picks up and it's worth sticking around for.

EDIT: Since all my posts have links in them, it's probably wasting bandwidth, so I won't post links anymore unless it's breaking news that has to be posted or the world will explode.

As sad as it is, I bought a PS2 just so I could play Kingdom Hearts. But I bought a refurbished one off eBay for a good price, and I justified my purchase with the fact that I haven't had a system since Super Nintendo!

Lol, I think we've discussed this before. I basically wanted a PS2 just for this game too! Is the GBA version any good and needed to understand KH2? I was pondering about whether or not I should buy it. I did recently get a $20 Target gift card too...

I love Kingdom Hearts!!! I'm normally a goodness must do HW before recreation student, but once I got Kingdom Hearts in January I put HW aside and played! Sometime after I first got it I played straight for like 4 hours all the way up to Tarzan's Deep Jungle and realized I didn't have a freaking memory card! Anyhow, it wasn't that bad to play it all over again, well except doing the petty tasks for Destiny Island was annoying to repeat.

I'm nearly done the game now, though!! I still have 12 more puppies to find though and a few Trinities. Also, I just beat Maleficient as a Dragon and I'm having such a hard time to beat *SPOILER* Riku/Ansem. It's easy to get him to the green health level and Curing myself while fighting but after that he just won't stop attacking with those big black and white blob thingers..grrrr!!

Anyhow, I'm totally excited for KH2! It's going to have Mulan which is my favorite DIsney movie!!!! Also, I hope they bring back Neverland since all we got to see were The Jolly Roger and Big Ben. Atlantica would be nice to see again too. I also wonder what summoning characters they'd add or bring back. Summoning is my favorite magic spell, btw. Lol, you all probably don't care, but my enthusiasm for this game just keeps pouring out!

Is the GBA version any good and needed to understand KH2?

1.) The GBA version is not needed to understand KH2. KH2 was halfway through production before they even considered making Chain of Memories. Tetsuya Nomura, the creator, had heard a lot of people wanted to try KH on the GBA, and this idea intrigued him and sparked his interest. Certain plot points are given away, but they will be restated in KH2 so that you don't miss anything if you don't play the GBA game. Basically, you can play the game if you want, but you miss nothing if you don't. I highly suggest it, though.
2.)Personally, I love the game, and it's well worth the money. I love the gameplay, and the graphics are supurb. In some of the cutscenes, there are some graphics that are almost as good as those of the PS2, and I'm not exaggerating! Another highlight is that you get to play as Riku, which is more fun than Sora's story in my opinion.

'Tis crap, my friend. Never, and I mean never, trust the info in IMDB unless you have another (reliable) source. All that info is fan-submitted and means nothing without proper confirmation. It has been confirmed that the English version is about completed. American demos have even been released. But, the only confirmed voice actors for the game thus far are:

Haley Joel Osment---Sora (His voice has matured since the last game, but I heard a demo of the American version and I heard Sora grunting, and the voice seems to suit him very well. And KH2 takes place a year later than KH, so I think it's fitting that his voice is deeper)

David Gallagher---Riku (In an interview, he said that if a sequel to KH would be made, he would gladly return as Riku.)

It's quite a low list, but a right short list is better that a long wrong one. If Winnie the Pooh's world is back, I sure hope John Fiedler was able to finish his lines. As for Lumiere, I hope they found a good replacement for Jerry. I think they'll find a good one. Disney has worked wonders with the voice acting of Kingdom Hearts. They managed to get the original voice actress for Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Wendy from Peter Pan for their respective worlds, so I think they can make another miracle.
