I kinda wonder ...(about upcoming DTV sequels)

Post by starlioness »

if Hercules II will pan out.. it's been about 8 years since the movie came out. TLM II took 11 years with it's sequel. but it was one of those next generation things.. though lately the DTV's are more about inbetweenquels and prequels now.. I wonder if Hercules II ever comes along will still be about his daughter and his involvement in the Trojan War . or maybe they'll dump that Idea and do a Tarzan II kinda or maybe Hades can have his own movie :p. 8)

also, just really reaching here.. I wonder if there's any chance of a sequel in the next 50 years to... (even though most of these were flops)

TENG (one featuring Kuzco or Pacha)
Atlantis ( that wasn't the 3 episode DTV)
Treasure Planet
Brother Bear (it could still be canceled or shelved at anytime )
Home on The Range (this and Treasure Planet are highly unlikley but you never know)

not dissing or supporting sequels.. just speculating..

I really want a Hercules sequel, but only if it's done well. I know I'm probably the only person on this site who lists Hercules as one of his top 5 Disney movies, but I love it! So yes on sequel, no on cheapquel! Get a good script, and then we'll talk!

Not only Hercules but all the planed sequels should have a good script.
They have done better with the draws on the next upcoming sequels, but the scripts are until now, the thing that becomes all the effort of making a good sequel a cheapquel

The only bad thing about Hercules is its animation style. If it isn't done right, it looks crappy (the TV show is an example, except for a couple of episodes). I wouldn't mind a sequel at all, but it could never compare to the original (I loved that movie). That's to be expected though.

Nope! It is definately one of my top 5! And as long as I would get to see my favorite characters I woudn't mind it being a cheapquel, though I would prefer it to be a well thought out movie.

Mulan III?

MULAN III?!?!?!?

They've already disgraced the memory of the original movie with that shoddy piece of *bleep*! Gee, I can't wait to see how they further destroy it with this. I have never looked forward to a DTV sequel as I did to Mulan II, and I have never been so disappointed. The filmmakers obviously had no clue as to what the first movie was about, and I have no reason to believe it'll change for this one. It'll probably just be another disgraceful attempt to shoehorn Mulan into the "Princess" role that the Disney marketing division is determined to cast her in. I won't even be giving this one a rental.

Comming this Halloween

From the makers of the original

Comes an all new adventure

HADES! The Movie!

Well, one can dream.

Where did you hear all of this? I don't think they'll get theatrical releases. Do we really need a Mulan III? An Oliver & Company sequel would sure make Teede happy, but I haven't heard anyhing about those yet.

Oy, I can see the taglines and plots of both........

Mulan III: The beginning was only the end of the middle. ( )

Mulan and Shang are being blessed with a baby, but the only hospital is on the other side of China. Shang must escort three princesses, ahem, I mean escort Mulan all the way across China while Mushu complains all the way about how the baby will change Mulan and Mushu's friendship. Chien-Po falls in love with the baby, played by Carrol Channing.

Oliver & Company II: Please sir, may I have some more.........ACTION!?

Oliver & Dodger must save the world from crashing into the sun. C'mon people, they kept hinting at it in the first one.

Oh, okay. I don't really see a problem in O&C II, but I'm a little concerned about Mulan III. I hope they can at least make up for Mulan II, if anything.

WOW!! I'm excited now!! I mean..I would be if this was true  !!
Maybe something about how the Gods shared the World, and then the surprise in Hades' eyes when he sees his new kingdom: Underworld! And perhaps something about Persephone, Hades' wife, according to the Greek Mythology. And a lot of funny ways about how he tried to take over Olympus (before Herc was born, that is).

Hades is planning to get Olympus, but her wife is always messing up all and she is the "But why being bad when you can be good" character,at the end could be something like he getting diorced of her---ops, I forgot than is a Disney movie---I mean she leaves him and then is when he knows about the new sunspot
