What is Disney working on now

Post by dezigner4web »

Does anyone know what Disney or Pixar have in development right now? Any sequels in the works? I dont want to know when DVDs are being released, I want to know what the artists are working on.

I just wish this site would dedicate a page to this area. I have been searching online for this topic for awhile.

If anyone knows a link or info, let me know.

Thanx

Sort of like this: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/intheaters.html ?

As for sequels, the ones closest to release are listed on the Upcoming Release Schedule: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/comingsoon.html

No, I know about that link. Actually this one is a little more preview for upcoming: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/intheaters.html#2006

But I want to know more details etc, story lines preview of art boards. This is so generic, most of us know these new releases. Still looking for more.

I suggest you apply for a cleaning or bringing around coffee job at Feature Animation. :P If details were available, the upcoming page would show them.

YES! Really awesome job on finding new and cutting edge stuff from Disney working on Rapunzel! What I am focusing on is the early stuff and how it evolves to the final on the big screen. Love the early stages, planning etc.

Am I the only one with goosebumps when I preview stuff that says " Disney coming 2007" ?!!?

This is the stuff I want to see presented here on ultimatedisney.com!

Actually all of that stuff is about 2 years old and that's all there is.

Rapunzel probably won't be seeing the light of day until about 2008/9 now.

Ya, not finding much on the net. Which is odd cuz it's the net and usually you can find everything you want and allot your not even looking for.

Typically I found the best previews in book format. I guess we just have to keep hoping for an underground peek to reveal itself.

Thanx

If you want to read more about Rapunzel, here's an ancient topic we had here a long time ago:

http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... highlight=

The following are some old character design art from Kevin Gollaher when he used to work for Disney in 1992. He now works for Swan Animation, which apparently released the Princess and the Pea 2002, but I've never seen it anywhere b4 or heard about it until I found the company's site.

Click here for Art for Jack and the Beanstalk which may have been for Disney or Don Bluth

Are you a spy for Dreamworks or something?

Ha, thats funny. No --not a spy for Dreamworks, but I would like to see story boards for new stuff they are working on too. My first love would be Disney for superior color balance and hidden meanings. And I am on "Disney" forum so wouldnt it be odd to ask for Dreamworks stuff here?

Actually, I am an interactive web designer, specializing in flash animations. I get my inspiration from viewing fresh stuff thats not yet available, stuff that is currently being worked on. I mean I can pop in any released dvd so why would I ask for that here, ya know.

I am more interested in the story boards and early beginnings evolving into the final piece. When a new DVD is released, I am first watching the behind the scenes track before the movie.

To the post before this one; I am pleased with the site you found: http://www.swananimation.com/ Wow, did you see some of the stuff these guys worked on.

Hello, I am a web site designer. I make web sites. So what could I be "taking". No, I said I get inspiration. I feel creative. I watch color balance and use of empty space. Some people play guitar, or throw darts. I look at what other artists are doing.

I dont do anything cartooned. I dont have an application for that in my work. So I guess think what you want of me. I think its funny the tone you are setting here. Wow.

Pixar is Working on Cars or they have finished Cars (Teaser Hi-Res (16.3 Mb) Full Screen (SUV) (33.5 Mb))

And they are also working on a rat/restaurant film, I have no concept or storyboard design knowledge of any of these.

I think a lot of people misunderstand what another means when it comes to text based communication, simply because someone reading a message may not know what emotion was put into the message by the author and therefore misinterprets it. It's 2D in commuication sometimes, though a novel I think is different, because you have about 400 or so pages to get to know the characters, plot, et cetera.
No signature needed - Kyoto Animation put out some beautiful animation
