Cool! This book looks really cool.....I've never seen itDisney's Divinity wrote:I actually think Ursula killed Ariel's mother because she liked Triton herself (mostly for his power/stature). What proof could I possibly have of that? Try looking at this future product:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 73-7352009
Just a children's book, right? Look at the description of the book, though:
Most of that's pure nonsense, but the last part is of personal taste, even if it doesn't fit with the rest of her made-up story. The rumor that mean, nasty Ursula turned Ariel into a human just so the sea witch could take over the seven seas? To hear Ursula tell it, she was only trying to help Ariel find her true love (and wanted to impress that hunky King Triton in the process!).
Ursula probably had a thing for Triton when she was in his court, took care of Ariel's mother somehow (most likely involved with humans) after Ariel's birth, and tried to get to Triton (most likely to be his queen...meh...), but was banished once Triton found out the truth of his wife. She grew angry because Triton rejected her and decided to have her revenge by taking everything he ever had and having him trapped in a garden of souls til his unavoidable death.

I always thought that a possibility was that Ursula was Ariel's mother. Triton could have been married to her, they had a row, they got divorced when Ariel and her sisters were very very young (like two) and Ursula did something naughty connected to humans, thus leading to her banishment in a cave with two eels.

There's seven daughters, though, and they weren't septuplets (well...)so at least one of them had to remember Ursula as a mother instead of an evil sea witch.Wonderlicious wrote:I always thought that a possibility was that Ursula was Ariel's mother. Disney's Divinity wrote:Although this isn't much proof, there's a possibility TLM3 could be about Ariel's, Triton's, and Ursula's past because of this:
http://www.superstaff.com/Philo/PhiloRes.html
It's from an artist who worked on TLM's character designs biography:
http://www.superstaff.com/Philo/Images/ ... esFull.gif
Again, that's not much proof, but it could be a possibility considering the news of another TLM sequel. They are doing a lot of those midquels lately, so maybe they're going to go into the past completely this time?
Awwwww the Picture of young Triton and baby Ariel is adorable. I am not looking forward to much to the 3rd installment but ifs a midequal it might work. I was also thinking it could be a movie that goes back and forth Maybe Ariel talking to melody about her mother or something I am not sure I am not like a few here or have thier stories completly developed lol but it could work. Sine the sequal of TLM left a lot questions unanswered I dont see those characters just disappearing.
Disney... Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are Forever

Well, some could be non-identical twins.chaychay102royal wrote:There's seven daughters, though, and they weren't septuplets (well...)so at least one of them had to remember Ursula as a mother instead of an evil sea witch.Wonderlicious wrote:I always thought that a possibility was that Ursula was Ariel's mother. I haven't read the whole thread, but I have to say that I really enjoyed The Little Mermaid II and am interested to see what III will have to offer.
The only sequal I have really disliked is Cinderella II... that was just... bad.

Sleeping Beauty II would be interesting, though, the events after the wedding turn out to be a bit grusome and grizzly!

I' ve just read in www.littleariel.com that Ariel III IS at the works, and the site's host says that it's a fact!!! I can't wait!! How long does it take for Disney Toon Studios to create a sequal??? I hope no more than a year!!

A merman and octopus-woman can't have children!!! It's NOT like an interracial couple, it would be more like mating two different species!!!Wonderlicious wrote:I always thought that a possibility was that Ursula was Ariel's mother. One thing is for a white merman to marry a black mermaid, but it's another if it's an octopus!!! It would be like a cat and a dog, or a fish and lobster!!! Get it?
For everyone who is interested, there is one more proof that "The Little Mermaid III" is at the works!! You can find it here:

Let's hope we don't have to wait any long!!!

[quote="Sunset Girl"]This is how I always envisioned a little mermaid prequel:
Ok, let's say that Ariel's mother's name is Andromeda, and let's assume that Ursula was a member of King Triton's court with her eyes secretly set on the throne. (After all, she did mention that she once lived in the palace!)...
What a beautiful plot!!! I absolutely loved, I always wanted Ariel3 to be a prequel. And this idea is terrific!

Yeah, that's a good idea too. Iam so curious in seeing how Ursula's daughter would be like.A beautiful purple-skined octopus-maid maybe!nedak wrote:Well, if you remember from the first movie, Ariel was a mermaid and Eric was a human! In my story, things are a little more easier: none of them has to change his tail or tentacles to anything-thay don't need a trident or a sea-witch. They both live undersea, and they only difficulty is, as Isidour said, between races. That means, the problem is like Romeo and Juliet, or "What will the family say?".Sailor Eric wrote: Why would Apollo fall in love with Marylin or vice versa??? He's a merman and she an octupus-maid!!!
Don't ask me how their children are going to be!!!![]()
Okay, I believe half of them will be merbabies and the others octopus-babies.![]()
I've done many scetches of Marilyn and she reminds me a little of Celia, the Eelmaid. I mean the hair is very similar. If you'd like to draw Ursula's daughter or maybe young Ursula, I think you'd come up with something like Celia, as for the hair anyway.
