Well, just having popcorn every time you go to the movies is not gonna kill you (unless you go every night), it's your overall diet that counts.
And the popcorn itself is fine, it's all the butter-flavored oil they put on it that's so bad for you. Anyway, you can have all the air-popped popcorn you want when you watch movies at home if you're careful about what you add to it.
About 7.62 Euros, 5.08 Great British Pounds, 70.57 Swedish Krona, 60.10, Norwgian krone, 16.81 Dutch Guilders where I live. I don't know how many dollars that is.
Yeah candy is expensive at our theater which, is the main reason why I sneek in my own candy. They can't search your bag so it's fair play. It kinda makes me feel guilty though seeing how the theaters make most of there money out of there consessions but meh.

$1,000,000
No, actually I don't know but I do know that Euros are slightly more valuable than a dollar so... it's probably around $8.00. Maybe a little more.
I think the cost of going to see a movie these days is horendous. You might as well buy a dvd and sit and watch it at home on your home theatre. And it costs so much just for a small drink or popcorn. And you can just forget about treats they are way over priced.
I was told by a Theater Manager recently that they can not stop people from bringing in food to a movie, Since I have been told that I have brought stuff in Like KFC to more than 1 theater.
The Theaters here Soda runs 3.50 to 5.50, Popcorn is 3.50 to 6.50, Nachos, 3.75 and 4.75 and candy is ?
theres a "dollar cinema" in montreal. everything from snacks to admission is a dollar. it's surprisingly not that sleazy and the movie selection is usually pretty good. I think theres 5 screens and they generall play movies from the past 6 months to a year with some exceptions on older films but generally of the past 10 years. Sometimes if Im in the area and have 30-40 minutes to kill, Ill walk in with a friend and catch part of a movie and than walk out for a dollar. Not bad considering Id pay more for meter parking downtown...
the movies are really expensive there, yesterday I went to watch Madagascar and between entrance, large sodas and popcorns(For Laura, her´s little brother and I)I spend $22 dlls
