Do WD Treasures tins overlap any other collections?

I did not see a thread on this, but I was wondering - do the WD Treasures tins overlap content with other Disney releases? I have seen a series called the Classic Cartoon Favorites which each typically contain several shorts on one DVD. Are the shorts on these Classic Cartoon Favorites also on the WD Treasures tins?

What other releases are already in the tins or partially already released in the tins? I noticed that the descriptions of the "first wave" do not include specific titles, so you can't search for the short title text on that page.

Does anyone have a cross-reference of Disney titles released under different collections?

Mr. Toad's link should illustrate it more fully than any one of us can, but in short, the Treasures are a comprehensive series of shorts that provide pretty much everything plus a tin to boot. The Classic Cartoon Favorites offer some shorts not otherwise available here and there, but they're a sampling by character or theme and won't give you every cartoon of your favorite character in chronological order. The Timeless Tales series launching in August appears to be more along the lines of the CCF, although they will include some longer shorts (such as <i>Prince and the Pauper</i> and <i>Wind in the Willows</i>). Volume 9 of the CCFs will provide "The Small One", which is not otherwise available in Region 1 on any of the Treasures.

Walt Disney Treasures are way better then the Cartoon Classic Favorites I know because I own both series.

My only tinless Walt Disney Treasures are Wave 1 and 2.

I own all of the tins, so it looks to me like most of the CCF titles are recycles of the tins. The big exceptions are several Donalds and Chip-N-Dale. Those may end up duplicates in the next wave of tins if they issue another block of Donald, right?

So no real advantage of spending the money for the CCF series if I already own the tins? Looks that way to me, please correct me if I am wrong or working off of faulse assumptions...

Chris - the cartoons that are included in the CCF that were not in the tins have not been remastered and are not nearly the quality of the tin shorts included in the CCF/
