My fave has to be Part of your World from the Little Mermaid, just in case anyone's interested. Of course there's loads of other great Disney songs to hum and sing in the shower or on the way to work, but that's my fave!

Has got to be the best. I actually collect CDs with it on. Love Steve Miller and Harry Connicks versions.

A whole new world.

Bare necessities and i want to be like you from the Jungle book.

Jimmy Cliff's work on the Lion King was outstanding.

My favorite Disney songs come from my favorite Disney movies: The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio (though the score is better than the songs, I think), The Jungle Book, and Tarzan. And Randy Newman's songs for the Pixar pieces, especially Toy Story are totally awesome. If you're going to count them as Disney.

I find myself playing the soundtracks from The Lion King and The Little Mermaid the most, and they're my favorites, so it all makes sense.

that'll do for now.

You know, one of the things that annoyed me about Disney films throughout most of the late-90s was the music. Like, Lion King/Mermaid/Aladdin/B&tB were successes, so everything had to be a musical. And IMO, the music of the late 90s was not very good. And in my mind, a musical not done well will tak eyou out of the story. This was my view of Mulan. However, when Disney musicals were done well, they were done very well, as in the early 90s. I have no preference, though, for non-musicals (my fave film being Lilo & Stitch, this does have a strong musical element to it, although not original tunes).

Have prefaced, my list with that, I'd have to say there are a few Disney songs that I always dig.

- Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid)
- Everybody Wants to Be a Cat (The Aristocats)
- The World Owes Me a Living (Grasshopper and the Ants short, various Goofy shorts)
- A Whole New World (Aladdin)
- Winnie the Pooh Theme
- Beauty and the Beast

I'm sure there are others, so as I think of them, I'll add to this...
Behind the Panels - Comic book news, reviews and podcast
The Reel Bits - All things film
Twitter - Follow me on Twitter
