I saw the movie today and liked it. I thought the John Malkovich character and subplot was not so great, and on the whole it was a lot less funny then it was in reading the book...but I enjoyed it nearly wholeheartedly.

Figured you would!
So what'd you think of the dolphin song?

Well that was pretty out there and strange, but not unexpected because I posted the sing-along page yesterday. Catchy tune, and as good as a way to start the film as any, I guess.
The Chicken Little teaser had me worried I was in the wrong theater. Panic!

I've only read the first book, which is the one the movie is based on, so I hardly call myself a big fan, but I was hesitant on whether or not I would enjoy the movie. NOt as good as the book, but still very good, IMO.
Just got back from this. I was going to see Saints and Soldiers(a religious film involving WWII and the Battle of the Bulge), but we didn't have time to drive out two hours to see it. I had been very interested in this from the beginning, but having read a few reviews was a bit skeptical. I've got to tell you- this is the weirdest, most bizzare film I've ever seen, and it had me in stitches. What a Perfect(as in Ford Perfect) blend of oddness and hilarity. I'm definitely seeing this again and then buying the DVD.

Hopefully it will have a slipcover!
GARHHH!!!!!! What does a DVD having/not having a slipcover have any influence on whether you buy a DVD or not. I only get slipcovers for disney movies, but don't care about non-disney movies.

You just totally contradicted yourself... Oh well...

Hmmm... sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black, and Alan's the pot.

With Alan the Pot, logic is thrown out the door and replaced with cardboard.
BTW, I never knew a pot named Alan, lol.

I like the cover, even if Arthur and Marvin look rather photoshopped. Judging by the fact that there's no fancy banner, it seems this won't be a 2-disc set as play.com had said. This means either play.com was misinformed, or the UK will be getting a 2-disc while we get a single disc. Judging by the specs from play.com, a single disc seems even more likely than ever.
