I love it!! Not only does it come with a companion book, but it comes with an vinyl. It's totally worth the money.

I just found that The Laughing Place is selling the The Official Album of the Disneyland Resort: The Happiest Homecoming on Earth for $44.41awallaceunc wrote: it's somewhere in the $20s I think.

You can also check out the Disney Records page for these CDs: http://disney.go.com/disneyrecords/50th/ as well as a new CD where Julie Andrews selects her favorite Disney songs, and a new pop CD of Disney covers (both original, re-used, and all new... including the return of Peabo Bryson!) that benefits the Make A Wish Foundation. Both of these are part of this same anniversary line-up.

I'll have a full review of the set in the weeks ahead, but in case you didn't know, it will be available nationwide on September 20, with a $99.99 retail price. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... >Amazon</a> now has it up for preorder. The only difference will be 1) it's no longer limited and 2) it will have a black (not gold) vinyl version of the Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland record.JiminyCrick91 wrote:Sorry to brig this up (even more so now that this is the 2nd time) but is this set worth the $124.99 US? I mean even if it was this version? ( http://disney.store.go.com/DSSectionPag ... PRVRV2_IMG ) Also how is that record? I have been saving and trying to persuade my father to let me buy the set.
Well I herad that the record was DISNEY park and disney online only even if it is Black vinyl and that Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland will only be out in other places like Amazon on CD. So I was going to go with Disney.com's copy.Luke wrote:in case you didn't know, it will be available nationwide on September 20, with a $99.99 retail price. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... >Amazon</a> now has it up for preorder. It was park & internet-exclusive for a long time, but Luke is correct in that it will be available at Amazon. To my knowledge, all the copies currently out there have the gold vinyl, and all those that are in this upcoming, cheaper wave, will have the black vinyl (and I could have sworn I remembered reading one other difference between the sets, but I can't remember what it was now). So your best bet really would be going through Amazon at this point (and be sure to use UD's link!!!).JiminyCrick91 wrote:Well I herad that the record was DISNEY park and disney online only even if it is Black vinyl and that Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland will only be out in other places like Amazon on CD. No I know that but Disney Mag even said that it would have the book and cds but not the record for the cheaper wide version.awallaceunc wrote:It was park & internet-exclusive for a long time, but Luke is correct in that it will be available at Amazon. And Aaron and I are saying that the cheaper national version <i>will</i> indeed have the record, but only in black vinyl. Perhaps the packaging may be different as well.JiminyCrick91 wrote:No I know that but Disney Mag even said that it would have the book and cds but not the record for the cheaper wide version.
Ok, my memory's going back a ways on this one, but I think that the original plans were for the record to not be included at all on the wide release. That has been changed, though.JiminyCrick91 wrote:No I know that but Disney Mag even said that it would have the book and cds but not the record for the cheaper wide version.
