SB and PowerDVD

Post by Leonia »

I generally watch my movies on my DVD-ROM, due to the fact that the family TV is always occupied by either my sister, my mom, or me playing video games.

I bought SB just hours ago and I tried to play Disc 1--I get as far as the THX sound before PowerDVD decides to crash. Disc 2 works fine, but it's Disc 1 that's irritating me, as I cannot watch either the widescreen or even the foolscreen version of SB.

Anyone got solutions?

Initial Question:
Have you tried playing Disc 1 in your DVD player (NOT the PC DVD Player) ?

I'm going to try later tonight (Mom's watching one of her shows right now).

But I got the issue fixed, at least partially.

How about Disc 2? My copy of PowerDVD 4.0 (not sure if that's the version you have) has been pretty uncooperative for Disc 2, especially for the trailers. It's been freezing up like it's having a seizure or heart attack every 30 seconds...maybe even less.

I guess I shouldn't have said that PowerDVD was working fine for Disc 2 if PDVD was being the idiot that it's suddenly become.
