Don't get me wrong, Chris. You too are a joy to this forum. I was talking about the nice members who memnv was being rude to on this thread, and as I believe so far he hasn't been mean to you, I didn't include you. :)

Wow...memnv, rudeness like you have recently shown is not welcomed at this forum. I'm not a moderator, but I've witnessed enough people with their bad attitudes and rude comments, that I can tell you that if you keep this up you will probably be banned from the forum.

On the other thread, Memnv said he had his barmitzvah in 1981, which was when he was around 13, so he was probably born in around 1968. I find it surprising that a man in his late to mid thirties acts the way he does. Please grow up and don't make any more personal insults.

I can't say I'm surprised as you are. Just because he's in his mid to late thirties doesn't mean he has quite learned the concepts of maturity and respect yet.

Maybe its just his way of unleashing his daily stress and anger.

If it is, there's something called stress balls. They're quite cheap and they don't cause breakdowns on forums. If you have kids, menv, your children might like them because they're easy to play with.

Venting is getting out daily stress and anger. Venting can be done just by telling people how your life it currently. He can make a blog and tell the entire web how bad his day/week/month/etc has been. Taking his anger out on others is no excuse. That's how fights get started and people get hurt (physically and mentally). It's no way to live one's life.

Why don't you grow up? So, you don't like Alan. BIG DEAL! Alan has a nice little forum, yeah for him. You are only trying to start a fight and that is very immature. You don't like the idea of Alan being an admin? Then don't join his forum. End of story. End of argument. Move ON.
Agreed! You took the words right out of my mouth! However, whats this I hear about someones mom being on the forums? :?

I know the creator of this forum is a member of U.D., although I can't recall his username here. Regardless, lots of people need to join and make this place alive again because that would be a lot of fun. And then I can become internet famous again! Well, in a way.

I joined long ago. My name is very easy to find. The member who made it and is here is The Little Merboy. I was hoping it would get some niche members that talk and do all this stuff on the forum by themselves, and it feels all cool.

I'm sure Prudence means well by asking about Merboy's site and it wouldn't count as spamming, so I doubt a mod would chastise her or give her a warning for creating this thread. I'm no mod, so it's really not my place to say anyway, but just for future reference...
UD Forum Posting Guidelines and Helpful Links wrote:Advertising Your Site?
----Don't bother posting to tell us about your website, whether or not it is related to Disney, without first getting clearance via e-mail from the site administrator, which will likely only be given in extreme circumstances. Unsolicited advertising, spamming, and recruiting members to assist you with your website are all not permitted here, and will be deleted. If you have registered only to advertise your website, then your account will likely be banned. If you would like to advertise your site, you may purchase space above or below the forums at a reasonable cost through Google and/or AdBrite. Regular members are permitted to include a link to their own website in their profile (which also appears beneath their posts) - this is acceptable and should be sufficient if any reader wants to visit it.
Also, we have a little-used thread in Off-Topic that's devoted to recommending UD members' own sites and forums:

Post on My Forum (and Mine and Mine!)

ETA:

I reread the 3-page thread, and well...the majority isn't about recommending one's site, but was an oldschool UD battle between Alan and memnv. So maybe it wouldn't be the best thread to use to promote a site/forum.
