Well, this coming weeks to the series' climax, and it looks like the BBC have pulled out all the stops! It features all out war with thousands of Daleks, a mysterious manipulator behind the scenes and another death for the Doctor.

I'm literally giggling like a schoolgirl. The end of this weeks with the big Dalek Army reveal was just like a Dalek comic strip from the 1960's. We'd never imagine, in out wildest imagination the scope and epic qualities of those would ever appear on TV!

Or What is the Bad Wolf?Matty-Mouse wrote:Hurry up Saturday! Who is the Bad Wolf?
Hopefully Adam fits into it by being the first with his back to the wall when the Daleks begin their attack (if indeed Adam is in the finale).ichabod wrote:It's Jackie
Although I seriously want to know too!
And where does Adam fit in to all of this?
I found this on the BBC Doctor Who website
So, there goes my Face of Boe theory. And the Doctor as the Bad Wolf or the TARDIS as the Bad Wolf theories are on lots of websites, so I guess there goes those theories as well. There's only so many people it could be. I mean, who else have we met?BBC wrote:Secret still out there, says Russell T Davies.
Have you solved the mystery of Bad Wolf, the cryptic hidden message spread across this season of Doctor Who?
Well, no. You haven't. At least, not according to Executive Producer Russell T Davies, who has been keeping an eager eye on the various theories about who or what the Bad Wolf could be:
"Judging from the reactions I've had, a lot of people seem to think the Bad Wolf has already been revealed. Oh, it's the TV station. Oh, it's half a million Daleks. I've even got one friend claiming it's the Face of Boe! I must get better friends.
"I don't want to give anything away yet, but there is another revelation to come in Saturday's episode. We haven't discovered the true Bad Wolf yet."
So I now declare Mickey to be the Bad Wolf. God knows how though.

Well the series is over, but you can re-live some of the best moments thanks to this Series Clip Compilation from the end of the final Doctor Who Confidential episode.
Now, back to the DVDs. The barebones DVDs continue to be released, the next having 4 episodes rather then the usual 3: The Long Game, Father's Day, The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances. The latter three episodes are all, of course "Fantastic".
It's due for release on 1st Aug 2005

If you're holding off for the boxset in November, more information on it's contents have been revealed in issue 358 of Doctor Who Magazine

Looks like the BBC is serious when it aims to make this boxset one of their showcase DVD releases.

So that's around 3.5 hours of supplemental material, presumably not including the commentaries and the - hopefully to be included - production note subtitle tracks on the episodes themselves.Doctor Who Magazine wrote:The 'Complete First Series' DVD boxset, featuring all 13 episodes of the new series is set for release on the 21 November, priced £69.99. We hope to have full details on the extra matrial very shortly but BBC DVD have given us a few nuggets of information.
Each of the 13 episodes will be released with a 5.1 stereo sound mix, which will be the first time the episodes have been available in this format. The set, which will be split across five discs, will include over 200 minutes of special features - one of which is a very special episode of Doctor Who Confidential which will be made available exclusively only on this set

More news is dribbling out.
Perhaps the disc will include all 13 episodes of "Doctor Who Confidential Cut Down", the 15 minute edited episodes shown after the BBC3 repeats?
It looks like the 4 discs that contain the episodes will also include substantial supplements (I'm still hoping for the traditional WHO subtitle production notes too) and the 5th disc will be devoted to Confidential. As reported by Radio Times yesterday, all thirteen episodes of Series One on the forthcoming Doctor Who: Series One Boxed Set DVD release in the UK in November will feature commentaries. The commentary for "The Unquiet Dead" will be by Mark Gatiss, Simon Callow and Euros Lynn; other commentaries as noted in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine will include Russell T. Davies, Julie Gardner and Phil Collinson, although more specific details are not yet available. DVD extras will include "Russell T. Davies' video diary of the first week of filming" and "Billie Piper's own camcorder footage". "Episode-specific featurettes" will include "Deconstructing Big Ben", "Destroying the Lair", "Blitzing London", "Designing Doctor Who" and "Building the Emperor Dalek". The DVD-exclusive episode of Doctor Who Confidential will appear on the fifth disc and will include a "sneak preview" of Series Two alongside highlights of the first series of Confidential.

I jump for joy whenever I see this titled thread but then I am let down. You should put a DR. in front of it, I thought this was about my favorite rock band The Who, but it turns out it is about a lame british television show.

Apparently the new release of "Revelation of the Daleks" in Australia contains an advertisement for the Doctor Who Series One Boxed Set which includes, as one of the listed 'special features', "Doctor Who Confidential - 14 x 15 minute episodes behind the scenes of production of Series 1".
The 13 15 minute episodes seem to be the Doctor Who Confidential Cut Down transmissions, while the 14th is the one specially created for the DVD set.
That's over 3 hours, plus the special preview of the Christmas Invasion/Series 2, plus 9 hours of commentary tracks, plus an estimated 1 to 2 hours of episode specific featurettes on the episode discs.
What a release! It could include over 14 hours of supplements to wade through!

How about editing the title of this forum and add the word DR. to the title and those of us who are into rock and roll music and The Who will not be confused with whoever this other "Who" is.
That would solve the whole problem, and memory doesn't even enter into it.
