Does anyone remember these shows?

Post by umbreongirl »

Beyond Belief : Fact or Fiction and Millennium.
They used to air on Fox. I remember watching them with my mom cause she liked Millennium, but I was always more appealed with BBFOF.
BBFOF still airs on Sci Fi on the weekdays I think.
If you dunno them, then lemme give you a link to a site that has info on them -
http://www.tvtome.com/BeyondBelief/ - BBFOF
http://www.tvtome.com/Millennium/ - Millennium

Sorry if this is stupid, but I was 6 or 7 when these both aired and I liked them (well..mostly BBFOF).
And I was curious if anyone else remembered these shows.

I remember I used to watch Beyond Belief : Fact and Fiction and Millennium on Fox.
Both should be shown on Sci-Fi.

I enjoyed Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction a lot but I never got into Millennium and not because it was bad but because at the time I wasn't interested in watching any new shows. I had enough TV hours and I didn't need nay more.

I wonder. Was Millennium an appropriate show for a 6 or 7 year old? Are you scarred for life emotionally as a result umbreongirl?

Apparently not, as you can spell Millennium. I can't :(
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I remember "Beyond Belief." My parents liked it.

I found it a bit pointless; too many stories were untrue. What's the point of that?

I think they show 6 stories. 3 are real, 3 are not. So it was actually even.

Anyways, I enjoyed it. It's entertaining if nothing else. I always loved shows like Amazing Stories, Tales from the Crypt, and Tales from the Darkside.

My daughter and I watch it all the time. Though one story scared the hell out of her. It was about a little boy who was being teased by his friends that he was scared of a closet monster. So they locked him inside the closet. And he was screaming and yelling and then silence. They figured he was messing around and opened the door and he was gone. I had read that story years ago in a encyclopedia like book of events that were fantastic and also reported as true. Sounded too off the wall for me to believe it. So I said "fiction". Commercial break and my daughter harrassed me if it was true, I told her it couldn't. There was no sense to it. And then the show says FACT....so yeah, now I went through hell with her after that because they said it was true.... :brick:

My favorite story was one I heard before. On Unsolved Mysteries, as well as that book I mentioned before. It was an old saloon that was still running in the modern day. The owner held poker games all the time. But he was a cheat and took people for all they were worth. Then one day, an old man with a big white german shepherd walked in. He was dressed in old Western clothes and asked to play a game. The owner tried every trick he knew, but whenever he would try it, it was like the dog knew and would call him on it. Bringing attention to his crafty ways. The old man won game after game and took his winnings and left with his dog. Later after he left, they saw on the wall, a very old picture of the same man and the same dog. The man was a judge I think and hating gambling crooks. So it appeared his spirit and the spirit of the white dog came to teach the guy a lesson. I always loved that story :D

Nah. Millennium wasn't really a show I watched whenever it came on. I only remember a few parts of one episode, but everything else is a blur.
So, nah, I'm not scarred. And I dun think my parents would've let me watched it if they haven't watched it first.

Siren, I don't think that was true about the 3 being true and 3 false. I've seen episodes where one is false and the rest were true, or the other way around. But it doesn't bug me if more were false. This show was good and scary, but it never scared me enough to make me cry or not fall asleep.
Some stories, however, still give me chills when I remember them.
It's a great show for a little scare...

Yeah, I can't remember if there is any set number of true and false stories. But I thought it was 3/3. Oh well.

None of scared me or gave me nightmares. But some have creeped me out.

I like Beyond Belief....I watch it on Sci-Fi occasionally....I haven't found the series that scary, though some scenes have creeped me out....I still can't believe that that "closet monster" story turned out to be true...
