My theory has always been, since book 1, that Voldemort and Dumbledore will turn out to be the same person. (Let the stoning begin).

Most likely with either a period or a question mark.
Or with millions of kids crying "NOOOOO! IT'S ALL OVER! I HAVE NOTHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN MY LIFE!"

Actually, yes, they do. They can look forward to the next movie. When the movies are all over, thenthey can be miserable!

No, I'm not going to stone you at all. I welcome any HP theories at this point as long as they have not been mentioned on www.jkrowling.com. I actually think that's an interesting theory--good and evil combined into one? Or Voldemort pretending to be Dumbledore to lure Harry to his death? Or other theories?awallaceunc wrote:My theory has always been, since book 1, that Voldemort and Dumbledore will turn out to be the same person. (Let the stoning begin).

Curse you!!!SofaKing381222 wrote: Here is the exact quoting
I believe Harry and Voldemort will both die, as much as I dont want itto happen, it probably will 'cause JKR has been asked "Are you going to make any more Harry Potter books after Book 7" and her response was "What makes you think he's going to live past Book 7?""The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches . . . born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies . . . and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not . . . and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives . . . the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies . . ." (Order of the Phoenix, page 841.)
SPOILER:
Im always routing for the "The prophecy is actually referring to Harry and Neville, not Harry and Voldemort" theory. It could be refering to neither Harry nor Neville can live while the other survives. That way only Neville will dieB/c in the 5th book we do find out thatall the clues not only pertain to harry, but also Neville
That was exactly the reason I had, although I wasn't going to give that quote away! I have also had suspiscions about Neville's increasing prescence in the scheme of things. After all we know that "The Half Blood Prince" is neither Harry nor Voldemort, my guessing is that he is Neville.

So I clarified, with the quote. However, I think Harry is actually supposed to kill Voldemort (or Voldy will kill Harry)--I'm not quite certain on the exact wording in the fifth book. Is it "die" or "kill"?
Neville is actually a really good guess to be the Half Blood Prince. She has been trying to develop his charcter more and more. And in each book he usually has a major section or event completely focused on him. You can tell in the fifth book that she wants to develop some minor charcters more (Luna Lovegood, Neville, etc) Maybe becuase she wants to involve them more in the story later on.....

It's been my theory from the moment I finished book 4 that Dumbledore is evil. When I say he's evil, I don't mean he's voldemort, but.... oh here:
My theory is that a death eater, very close to Voldemort, killed Faux and put Dumbledore's soul inside of the body. Then, the death eater put himself in Dumbledore's body. If you think about it, Faux has always kinda been there for Harry (as shown in CoS) and Dumbledore has always sort of dissapeared whenever Harry faught Voldemort (all of the books except 5). And there is a part in GoF (after Harry has escaped from Voldemort) that Dumbledore has a (happy) twinkle in his eyes while talking to harry about his dreadful experience (or something like that). But, that's probably not even close to what really happens.

To begin with, I really don't think that the last Harry potter book is going to end like Lord of the Rings or the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I think that Voldemort will die at the end of the series but I have no predictions on what will happen to Harry.
One thing I know is that Hagrid will die either in the 6th or 7th book. When looking at the conversation between Harry and Hagrid in the last chapter of the 5th book, I can tell that something bad will happen to Hagrid. I also have a feeling that many of the members of the Order of the Phoenix will also die as well in the 6th and 7th books to show how evil and scarry Voldemort and the Death Eaters to the wizarding world.
I remember reading about how the 6th book was originally going to be the 2nd book in the series and how the beggining of the 6th book was almost used as the beginning of the 2nd book.
And about who the Half Blood Prince is. Well from what I heard and read, the Half Blood Prince will be a new character just like in the title Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where the Prisoner in the title was Sirius Black.

That title is really off, no offense. Where did you hear that? Could you provide a website to an interview or a source other than word of mouth? Because of what I've heard, J.K Rowling is planning to kill Harry off.memnv wrote:She is talking about doing more books after Harry graduates from Hogwarts. The title was a joke, you gotta have a sence of humor. I read about it possibly not being the end of Harry on J.K.Rowlings official web site.chaychay102royal wrote:That title is really off, no offense. Where did you hear that?
