Favorite shorts from the Complete Goofy set?

Post by pezisgood »

Everyone here would probly agree that the Goofy set is great, and personally Goofy is one of my fave characters, but what are your 5 favorite episodes? Mine are:
1 Goofy and Wilbur
2 The Art of Self Defense
3 Teachers are People
4 Aquamania
5 Father's Lion

Also, was Goofy in anything that should have been included on this set but wasnt?

Its very tough to number them, but I probably love all the "How to" fake-instructional cartoons the best. The one I really remember as being funny (though I can't think of the name) is the one where Goofy gets gym equipment.

Yes there are a couple of more cartoons where Goofy appears but they were not included in this set. Both cartoons with Donald Duck and without!

A lot of complaints on amazon.com are that it did not have "Freeway Phobia". Has anybody ever seen this one? :?

Two weeks vacation i think represents the height of disney animation. you'll find no better looking art and animation than this era of disney.

How to be a detective is perhaps one of the best atmosphere cartoons i've ever seen.

Still ranks as my fav. treasure thus far.

I'm still ploughing my way through this set (it's sooo great), so this is subject to change.

At the moment, some of faves are: The Art of Skiing (or Shee-ing); Knight for a Day, Goofy & wilbur (this is so sweet).

I'm sure this will change as I watch more though...

you gotta love the music too. its kinda weird, especially for the time.

you're making me wanna break it out and watch it {i am packing for a move}

i think when you watch how to be a detective, and then watch batman the animated series, it's not hard to see an influence.

"Goofy And Wilbur" and "Aquamania" is my favourites. I didn't care for most of the "how to" shorts. I rather watch Donald or Mickey, or Pluto shorts for that matter.

I agree with Kim Olav Svines, I also prefer to watch cartoons with other characters than Goofy - he is not my favorite among the Disney characters. :P

I had not seen No Smoking or Teachers are People and I couldnt believe that it was from Disney! Dont get me wrong I love both of them but that would be some controversial stuff in today's time. Hats off to them for not censoring them on this set.

What was the name of that one, How to Diet? or something like that.
I like how his reflection in the mirror calls him "fat". Not fatty, or fatso, just fat. "Hey fat!"
