BotDC Round 1 - ENDED - Go to Round 2

Post by Prince Phillip »

I have seen a lot of these things in magazines and stuff, and thought it might be fun to do one for the site, with Disney's Animated Classics. All you need to do is pick what you think is the best or better choice of each set of 2. You can e-mail me your picks/choices by selecting the email button at the bottom of this post or you can post your picks, but it might create more suspense if you email me you choices, that way, noone will know what the other one picked, but it is up to you... This is Round one. Have fun:

Cinderella vs. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Sleeping Beauty vs. Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid vs. Aladdin
The Lion King vs. Bambi
The Black Cauldron vs. The Sword in the Stone
Alice in Wonderland vs. Peter Pan
The Rescuers vs. The Great Mouse Detective
Tarzan vs. The Jungle Book
Mulan vs. Hercules
Pocahontas vs. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
101 Dalmatians vs. Lady and the Tramp
Oliver and Company vs. The Aristocats
Dumbo vs. Pinocchio
Robin Hood vs. The Fox and the Hound
Treasure Planet vs. Atlantis
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 vs. Saulidos Amigos/Three Caballeros

Yeah sure feel free to PM me. :) Also I had to retype this a couple times cause my computer kept freezing and I had to keep rebooting and loosing everything I typed, so the last time, I kinda spped typed, so I forgot to acknowledge that you gave me the idea, but I did mention it in the earlier ones that never made it. :)

Also Choco Bear, I don't need picks of your choices I just need a list...

Example:
1. Cinderella
2.Sleeping Beauty
3. Aladdin
...and so on. :)

Wow! i guess people don't agree with me too much....! :P
Well.... anyway... this is my unusual list:

Cinderella vs. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves- Cinderella (i know snow white was the first and all but.... y'know...)
Sleeping Beauty vs. Beauty and the Beast- Beauty and the Beast (not half as good as the broadway, strangely enough... but still nice)
The Little Mermaid vs. Aladdin- Aladdin (tough choice)
The Lion King vs. Bambi - The Lion King (bambi bores the living crap outta me!)
The Black Cauldron vs. The Sword in the Stone - The Sword in the Stone (never saw black cauldren)
Alice in Wonderland vs. Peter Pan - Alice in wonderland (my all-time favorite... sorry pan.... love you too..)
The Rescuers vs. The Great Mouse Detective - Equally Awsome Mouse Stories
Tarzan vs. The Jungle Book The Jungle Book (Tarzan was amazing and all but..... duuudes!!)
Mulan vs. Hercules- Hercules. (by a landslide! and i was actually quite a mulan fan!)
Pocahontas vs. The Hunchback of Notre Dame The Hunchback of Notre Dame (One of the most powerful disney's ever! Pochahontas was good... but no match for Hunchback!)
101 Dalmatians vs. Lady and the Tramp 101 Dalmations (love L&T, but their's nothing like 101!)
Oliver and Company vs. The Aristocats Lovem both the same. like the mouse flicks.
Dumbo vs. Pinocchio Dumbo (By far! though pinnocio was pretty strong...)
Robin Hood vs. The Fox and the Hound These were my two all time favorite disney's as a kid... (which is quite interestiing because later on i developed a passion for foxes... just a tidbit) so it comes down to- after a lot of hard thinking- Robin Hood!
Treasure Planet vs. Atlantis They both suck equally... because it's impossible for one to suck more then the other!
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 vs. Saulidos Amigos/Three Caballeros Fantasia (never saw amigos/caballeros).

That's my list! :D :D

It took me a while.... (especially thinking about the fox bit)... so you people better read it!!!

1. Cinderella (Snow White herself is too childish)
2. Beauty and the Beast of course (but after seeing it again, Sleeping Beauty does come in at a close second)
3. The Little Mermaid (tough choice)
4. Bambi (I don't know what people see in Lion King)
5. Black Cauldron by default (never seen Sword)
6. Peter Pan (always loved this one)
7. Rescuers (Mouse Detective was kinda boring)
8. Tarzan by default (never seen Jungle Book)
9. Honestly cannot decide!
10. never seen either in entirety
11. Pinocchio (but Dumbo comes close!)
12. Atlantis (Treasure Planet's story was just too weak)
13. Fantasia (never seen the Latin America films, but I'm pretty sure I'd still like the Fantasias better)

 Thanks. I'm not sure whether to close the round at the end of a week or sooner... Oh well, I'll see how the thing progresses. As long as people are still answering I'll keep it going, up to a week. Then Round 2 will begin. And thanks to the people who are PMing and e-mailing me their picks... It's those votes that could completely surprise some people at the end of the round. :P Well, that's all for now. I might post my picks at the end of this round... but for now, those of you who have not chosen yet, make sure you vote/choose/whatever. :)

nah... i think you should give it a week and a half to two weeks.... let it be more interesting! with more results and suspense and stuff.... unlike choco bear's first round of the cover art thread ( http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... highlight= ) which ended up having Cinderella win with only for votes :brick: !!!!!

make this one exciting!!!! and so at the end everyone will be like :jawdrop:

The Little Mermaid (A whole new world, poor Aladdin)
The Lion King
The Sword in the Stone
Alice in Wonderland
The Great Mouse Detective

Pinocchio (But I really do love Dumbo, that was hard!)
Robin Hood
Treasure Planet
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 (but only because of Fantaisa, I dont really like 2000 at all).
Dust? Anyone? No?
