Bionicle: Mask of Light to Premiere at Legoland
Animation Magazine reveals that the CG film, co-produced by Miramax and Lego, will gets its worldwide premiere at Legoland in Carlsbad, CA this Saturday at 6pm. Celebrities and special guests, yet to be announced, will "illuminate the premiere", which will feature costumed characters, a gigantic Mask of Light portal complete with smoke and lighting effects and an enormous mosaic of the movie poster built entirely from Lego bricks. Bionicle: Mask of Light will be released on DVD and VHS on Tuesday, September 16. A second direct-to-video title, already in production, is scheduled for release in September 2004, and an animated theatrical release is also in the works.
