Brazilian (R4) releases - November
This is what we are geting this November. Very similar to the international schedules.
-Finding Nemo
-Magical World of Winnie the Pooh: Volume 3 - Playtime With Pooh
-Magical World of Winnie the Pooh: Volume 4 - A Great Day of Discovery
-Belle's Magical World
-Mickey Mouse In Living Colors
-Everybody Loves Mickey
-Everybody Loves Donald
-Everybody Loves Goofy
-The Magic of Christmas (or something like that)
"Saludos Amigos" has just been released here. I still didn't get it, but as soon as I do, I'll tell you if its edited or not (for the record, our VHS version of the film wasn't edited). I think the DVD is edited, but I hope it's not.

Just discovered that this Christmas release is the "Winter Wonderland" DVD. I'm curious to know what it is.Joe Carioca wrote:-The Magic of Christmas (or something like that)

Here's a tentative list of the contents of Winter Wonderland. It might not be 100% accurate, since the information is based on a Swedish web-merchant's site, and I've tried to interpret it to the best of my ability. Corrections would be appreciated.Joe Carioca wrote:Just discovered that this Christmas release is the "Winter Wonderland" DVD. - As Long as there's Christmas (from Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas)
- Christmas Medley (????)
- Once Upon a Wintertime (from Melody Time)
- Bambi on ice (from Bambi)
- Wart pulls the sword from the stone (from The Sword in the Stone)
- The Cold Blooded Penguin (from The Three Caballeros)
Extras:
- The Grasshopper and the Ants (1934, a Silly Symphony)
- Lend a Paw (1941, Pluto)
I wonder if the Christmas Medley could be the closing carols from Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas?
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

How lame... as I suspected, only selected scenes from the animated features. I was hoping it would be something like "Countdown to Christmas", or even better. But thanks for the info Anders!Anders M Olsson wrote: - As Long as there's Christmas (from Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas)

It isn't boding well for the Aussie release of all the package films next month.Joe Carioca wrote:A friend of mine bought the Brazilian edition of "Saludos Amigos" and, surprise, surprise... it's edited!![]()
Well, I'm going to buy it anyway, I just love that film... I know I'm gonna have to buy it again, though. I'm sure a special unedited version is on the way (at least for Region 1).
Just have to wait and see I guess...

My player is region 4, but since it is zone-free, it plays all kinds od DVDs.ThiagoPE wrote:hey joe, you forgot to tell just one thing: all brazilian dvds from disney are R1 too.
(i know it because my player is region 1)
Thiago
Thanks for the info!
And i need to remeber one thing: some sites (like dvdbrazil) tell that the brazilian disney dvd is region free (region all) IT IS NOT TRUE!!!!! because i´ve sent a dvd for a friend in germany and it won´t work! but it isnot necessary, if you ask for disk propriety in your dvd-rom it will tell "encoded for region 1 and 4".
OK

Yes, we do.PheR wrote:do anyone know what this "everybody loves..." dvds contain???
You can go to this German site for a nice list of all shorts included on those three DVDs:
http://www.duckfilm.de/film/dvd.htm
However, be warned that the "Everybody Loves" discs contain the short films without any opening or closing titles. Instead, they have inserted some very stupid footage of children (and some grownups) from around the globe saying how much they love Donald. Or Mickey. Or Goofy.
