maybe The Passion was R rated because of the gore of the wips scene, and also the religious shock to see that kind of punishment.

Not all the R rated films are like this because sex or badmouth, but also because of very deep plots or (supposly) just for adults.

Hmm...I know how old you are, but age doesn't really matter when it comes to things like X-rated movies (well, besides the fact that it is not recommended for anyone younger than eighteen years old).

Offtopic: I noticed your signature with Howl's moving castle, and is it going to be released at most theatres nationwide on June 10?

Ew...

As a pastor, if my dad has a porn collection, it would certainly get him fired.

I just want to remind you guys that I have seen at least two threads devoted to that movie. If you discuss to go into more detail about it, do so there.

I've probably watched some in my lifetime. The last R-rated movie I watched was a couple of days ago. I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 and it is rated R.

Rambo (I forgot which one), Predator, Aliens and Schindler's List. Both movies were pretty violent. o.O

I don't remember much about Rambo and Predator. Schindler's list is very sad, but kinda happy at the end.

I think I saw Robocop. Or maybe I saw the TV series. Those are all the films I remember.

The Passion of the Christ is rated R for sequences of graphic violence.

I saw my first R-rated film when I was in third grade during one of my slumber parties. One of my friends brought over the original Nightmare on Elm Street and we only got through the first 10 minutes of it before another friend insisted that we turn it off. I was a bit sheltered and was obviously not used to seeing any kind of gore, and I was relieved that I had the excuse to turn it off without having to admit that I was scared.

I saw it a few years later and obviously handed it a lot better.

I don't pay much attention to the ratings of films anymore, but I wasn't even allowed to watch something like Adventures in Babysitting unless my mom had the time to watch it with me. On the other hand, we used to watch Dirty Dancing together over and over again because she liked that movie a lot.

I eventually noticed that I could watch as much gore as I wanted as long as everyone kept their clothes on!

These days, I'm open to watch just about anything no matter what the rating is.

NC-17- Seriously how many films are rated NC-17! I've only heard of 1 movie that was rated that! Only 1!

As for X rated, my Dad doesn't have that stuff!(If he did my Mom would have left him a loooooooooong time ago! )
