Take advantage of the Disney DVD replacement program!!!

Post by jfig24 »

A few weeks ago, I posted a topic about a DVD purchase I made on ebay. I purchased Beauty and the Beast from someone but it was ruined during the delivery. I was offered a refund, but I decided to try other options first, since I payed so much for it and I have seen it go for a lot more on Ebay. I decided to contact Disney to see if they could replace it for me and they asked me to send it in so they could take a look at it. Well, today I received a brand new copy of Beauty and the Beast in the mail!!! Even better, they didn't charge me to replace it!!! The good folks at Disney did it for free! So, if for some reason you have a dvd that breaks or will not play anymore, even if it is out of print, try and see if Disney can replace it for you. It looks like they have a stash of OOP print DVD's for these kinds of situations. Even if they end up charging you, I believe the cost is only $6.95 if i'm not mistaken. Take advantage of this program!!!

Well, they won't replace bootlegs. And they might be out of stock on those, and besides...those Limited Issue discs? They suck. You'll have a much better <i>Lady and the Tramp</i> DVD ten months from now.

Okay Luke I know they suck but I do have two of each now.... and they are not bootlegs. Hey, Luke remember I only need Cinderella....then I have all the Disney Animated DVD's. :)
Oh, yeah Disney wanted me to send my TJB and LATT DVD's in. They are crazy what if the DVD's get lost in the mail.

And if they didn't, then any yahoo could call them and ask for a TJB and LATT Limited Issue, and they'd just dish them out for free. Makes sense financially for them to ask for your DVDs first.

Then send them in and if you're that worried about them getting lost in the mail, have USPS do delivery confirmation or something. As long as they're not bootlegs, they should replace them for you. What is wrong with them anyway?

Luke they don't have LATT or TJB on stock. Disney wants me to send them so they can fix the damage they have. LATT is defected in the beginning of the DVD at the main meun it's all bounce at the top. TJB skips throughout the whole movie. So I just got new DVD's at ebay and the second ones work fine.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just call Disney and tell him we have a certain dvd and it is damage and just get a brand new one.

"Hello Disney I just broke y 2 copies of MMILC and my 3 Ultimate Toy Boxes could I get new ones?"

"sir could you send them in?'"

".......errr.........."

dude it doesn't work like that.

Just because those titles aren't sold in stores, I don't think it means Disney itself doesn't still have them available to the support division. They recently replaced a Fantasia 2000 for me, and that's been out of print for some time.
