I know this thread is old, but I just wanted to say that I bought a new/sealed copy of Snow White for $37. And then I bought another for $10 new/sealed. The reason I bought it was because no one else bid and I thought it would be dumb of me to let it go. And they are original, they have the buena vista stamp on them and everything. I think once it get's re-released again the first Platinum will still be worht something depending on the material it has that the new release will or will not include.

I forgot to mention I purchased these last year, so I don't know how much harder they are to acquire now. Plus the $10 one was just plain luck! Everyone in this forum probably already have their own copies. Who in the forum does not own a copy? Just curious.

I JUST got my Snow White copy on Chrismas Eve no less. I was going to pick up the Jurassic Park 3-Pack and when I got to the front and I jokingly asked if they had a copy and they had one (used). I shop at MovieStop and they have a TON of new and used Disney DVDs. I saw a mint Hercules, Lion King, and some other out of print DVDs but I didn't pick them up.

I found Snow White at Value Village in november for $4.99 (canadian). Someone had cut the bar code off the package (probably for a mail in rebate), but everything else was in perfect shape. And for $4.99, I wasn't complaining.

Are they going to be re-releasing the Platnium editions of Snow White, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast ever again? On DVD, not Blu-Ray.

I missed out on getting those and can't seem to find them for a reasonable price anywhere.

I got my Snow White DVD shortly after I got my DVD player, which was around the time the movie was released on DVD, so it was on October 2001.

I don't know about TLK, but Snow White and Beauty and the Beast are indeed supposed to be coming back, as mentionned on UD's different release types. Now, I don't think many people are "in the know" about Blu-Ray or DVD for those releases. I personally bought both SW and TLK here in the Trade forum! Maybe you can check there, you could have surprises.

I got my copy of Beauty and the Beast: PE on the first day of Summer Break (around June 13th) and I got Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: PE on the last day of break (roughly August 19th or so)...ironically.

Hey, if anyone's looking for Snow White and dosen't mind purchasing it online, secondspin.com has 6 copies for sale (at $33.99 a piece).

Of course, they are used, but I ordered one of their Emperor's New Groove: CE's, and it came in flawless condition: no scratches, not a bootleg (as far as I know..), literally came with ALL inserts (coupons and all), and in the original case with original coverart.

Just thought I'd point that out to any of you that still need Snow White. :)

Oh, here's a link if you're too lazy to find it yourself ( ) :
