Quick Question on the History of Disney DVDs
What is the order of each movie that has come onto DVD? I don't mean like the order of the actual films, but I know March's PE was the first time Bambi has been given a DVD release, but Lady and the Tramp will be a rerelease.

He only covers the releases with dates when writing a review of them. So far he done all of the Animated Classics, except for the biggest release of the year Cinderella. Some of them are being re-released and he'll obviously cover them when they are released to Platinum Edition DVD. He has a pretty big schedule of DVD reviews coming up this summer (down here in Australia its Winter!) but I don't think that you'll find a complete, chronological list of Disney DVD releases to date, on this website anytime saoon. If you really want that list though, and have the time to write one, my best bet would be to get a list of all the Disney DVDs ever released(most appropriately on this site), then go to Amazon.com, look at the release date, write them all down and there you go, you'll have your list! That's just my theory of doing it though..........................Mr. Toad wrote:Lukes list covers all of the releases with dates I believe

Since I have no life, I looked up the dates on both Amazon and DVDMG. The dates weren't asked for in this thread, just the order, so that's what I've got. I only focused on animated classics because including live action and DTV would be absolutely insane. I have no idea when the 1999 Limited Issue discs were re-released as Gold Classics.

You can bet on two special editions in 2006 as well.
I think Hercules and Hunchback may be the best bets. One always comes out just before the Platinunm.

Yup. So far it's been Sleeping Beauty/The Lion King, Aladdin/Mulan, Bambi/Pocahontas, and possibly Lilo & Stitch/Cinderella. Like Mr. Toad said, I'm pretty sure it'll be Lady and the Tramp/The Hunchback of Notre Dame early next year, though I'm not so sure if Hercules will be paired with The Little Mermaid in the later portion. I think it's more likely that we'll see Dumbo/The Little Mermaid, and then in 2007 Hercules/The Jungle Book.
Yeah, I'm wanting broadband so badly, my my dad won't get it for my and my family! Its just lucky that on 4 weekdays, after school, I get to use a broadband computer for about 20-30 minutes, since my mum works in a school library, all Australian schools have to have Broadband and I'm fortuate enough to be able to use it 4 days a week. The other days, though, I'm stuck with this slow dial-up one. Its really annoying, especially when wanting to post quickly! And thanks for letting me in on one of Disney's DVD secret! I never knew about how they released a Special Edition around the time of a Platinum Edition! Now it all makes sense, and I have new hope of Dumbo, Hercules, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame Special Edition releases. Why isn't Dumbo a Platinum though? It's certainly popular enough...........................................

Pals, if youre reading, why do you always write out yourself in bold what someone else wrote instead of the usual "let the BBCode do it" way by putting who wrote what in with the code? Example:MickeyMousePal wrote:DisneyKid wrote:
