Disney... Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are Forever
Hey guys,
I think this is way overdue as most people here already know me pretty well. After all, I've been coming here on an almost daily basis for almost two months!!!
I started a love for Disney movies early on. When I was in kindergarten/first grade, my favorite movies were [/i]The Little Mermaid and The Rescuers. [/i] To this day I still love those movies. As I got a little older, I also liked A Bug's Life, The Princess Diaries and Finding Nemothe latter of which is still a personal favorite.
Recently, I've added Peter Pan, The Lion King and Bambi to my list of favorites. I love playing Survivors on here, and I also enjoying watching the television show the game is named after. Other television favorites of mine are 7th Heaven, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Jeopardy!, Dr. Phil and Supernanny.
That story was nice, chay-chay. I add lots of new films to my favourite list every day too. Although I saw and liked them as a kid, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid and a few others were films that made my top 10 as an adult.

Hey, I've only been on the forums for less than a day, but my Disney experience has lasted much longer than that.
I started liking Disney movies from as far back as I can remember. My mom says the first movie I saw in theaters was either Beauty and the Beast or Aladdin (she can't remember). I was a Disney fanatic until I was about nine, and then I started to feel as if I had outgrown Disney movies. I thought that just because they were cartoons, they were for kids only. I didn't watch a single Disney movie for a long time after that.
Then, in late 2004, I was extremely bored. I went up into the attic and found Aladdin on VHS, along with my other Disney movies. I thought to myself "Hey, this will probably suck, but I'm so bored I'll do anything." I was blown away. I had forgotten how much I had loved these movies and the warm feeling I had as a child came running back. I bought the Platinum Edition of Aladdin a few months later. Before I had realised it, I had rewatched every Disney movie in my VHS collection. I then started collecting the other DVDs. So far I have:
Disney Classics
Aladdin: Platinum Edition (my favorite movie)
The Lion King: Platinum Edition
Pocahontas: 10th Anniversary Edition
Mulan: Special Edition
The Emperor's New Groove: Ultimate Groove
Atlantis: 2-Disc Collector's Edition
Treasure Planet (my second favorite)
Brother Bear: Special Edition
PIXAR
A Bug's Life: Collector's Edition
Monsters Inc: Collector's Edition
Finding Nemo: Collector's Edition
The Incredibles: Collector's Edition
Other
Aladdin II and III Collection
Nightmare Before Christmas (not technically a Disney movie, but in the same field)
Spirited Away
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
and I still am looking for many more!
Welcome to the lovely community known as UD, Pasta67!
Thanks for sharing your story!
Had it not been for boredom, you wouldn't have started a Disney DVD collection!
After you get your avatar--or even before then--I highly suggest for you to participate in the Polls and Games forum, especially in the Survivors. They're really fun and they can give you an idea of other people's personalities and tastes.
OTHER THINGS I SUGGEST:
-Don't start too many threads.
-Make sure people can read your posts. There have been people here who have written stuff like:
hi guys. i'm new here and i jsut wanna let ya no tat i luv dizney.
Okay, that's a bit over-the-top, but one of these people really got on my nerves one time.
-When you mention any news about upcoming Disney movies that aren't on the front page, make sure to give clear reasons why we should believe your information. A link to one website not run by Disney or anyone in connection to Disney does not really count.
-Private messaging is fun, but there are a lot of things that you shouldn't PM people for:
-Ads ("Post on my thread")
-The I-Am-Bored-So-I-Am-Going-To-Write-Annoying-and-Illogical-Messages-To-People-Who-Pity-Me letters. I've gotten these and they're no fun to read or reply to (unless you think it's okay to let all that anger out, but I wouldn't suggest that)
-If someone requests you to not write to them, then don't. This has never happened to me before, but I've come across people who would have ignored any messages saying "please don't write to me anymore." For those people, the best way to get them to stop writing to you for a while is the sound of silence.
-Don't argue with certain people, especially Luke. He runs the place and he works hard at it. If any newbie was going to have a showdown with him, the vast majority of other UD members would support Luke.
Does anyone else have any other comments for Pasta37 and other people like him?

Well, first of all, I'm a boy . Second of all, I have been reading the posts for a while before I joined, so you don't have to worry about me doing any of that stuff. But thank you very much for the warning.
Im surprised I havent really posted in this discussion yet.
Ok I'll tell my story.
When I was a tot my room was themed to Winnie the Pooh (Disneys version) & prob from there is where it all began.
I had Disney records, Disney Christmas ornaments, & the first movie I got as a gift was Lady & the Tramp-one of my fav movies.
The first Disney movie i bought w/ my own money was Rescuers Down Under.
The first movie I fell in love w/ was Oliver & Company. Till Lion King came along, still havent seen an animated disney movie better then that movie in my opinion. I even made a Lion King scrapbook.
In high school my friends called me Fidget cuz I had this little dalmatian toy from mcdonalds. he wears mickey ears & on the back of his ears it even reads fidget. He was also my fav pup in the movie-he was just so cute!
So, when I graduated high school my rents gave me the gift of my first trip to WDW.
Ok, from there I'd say I went Disney Dork. Then for Valentines Day she gave me & my sibs a surprise travel bag & in each bag were plane tickets to Orlando once again but this time during early Dec for xmas festivities (yeah I def cryed)
Then I went to college (& met Shane), joined the college program for WDW & worked/lived there & got school credit for it for a semester. I loved it way too much, i decided to stay.
So Shane & I worked there for an extra year & 1/2 & decided we were ready to start a new chapter in life & moved back to new england.
We even named our kitties we adopted after Disney characters: Belle, Kuzco & Stitch.
We still visit Disney like 2x a year, my mom & sis still live down there.
Our honeymoon will be Disney cruise line in the fall (our first time on the cruise) & as many of u already know cuz i talk about it all the time... our wedding theme in a few weeks is Disneys Cinderella (fairy tales & happily ever afters & all that jazz) & our wedding song is So This Is Love ballad version by James Ingram.
Ok, thats my Disney story. I've read many of yours & they are all amazing.
