Disney Princess Sing-along Songs dvd

Post by Mermaid Kelly »

In the insert of the Sleeping Beauty dvd, it says there will be a sing-along dvd with all the Disney Princesses! :) I have all the sing-a longs on vhs, and I used to LOVE them when I was younger! What songs would everyone like? I think it should include
Something There (Beauty and the Beast)
Part of Your World (Little Mermaid)
Once Upon a Dream (Sleeping Beauty)
A Whole New World (Aladdin)
Just Around the River Bend (Pocahontas)
With a Smile and a Song (Snow White)
Bibbity Bobbity Boo (Cinderella)
Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
Under the Sea (Little Mermaid)

Does anyone else have different opinions, or suggestions?

those all sound good, but you should also add "A Dream is wish your Heart Makes" from the lovely Cinderella :) seeing as that's more of the general theme of the story

Going from a more bleak perspective of just Disney heroine songs as opposed to Disney princess songs, here's what I'd go with for the definitive Disney heroines sing-along DVD, and something I'd definitly buy.

I'm Wishing (Snow White)
Whistle While You Work (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Some Day My Prince Will Come (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Baby Mine (Dumbo) - 1
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella)
Bibbity Bobbity Boo (Cinderella)
So This Is Love (Cinderella)
I Wonder (Sleeping Beauty)
Once Upon a Dream (Sleeping Beauty)
A Jolly Holiday With Mary (Mary Poppins)
A Spoonful of Sugar (Mary Poppins)
Feed the Birds (Mary Poppins)
My Own Home (The Jungle Book)
Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid)
Under the Sea (The Little Mermaid)
Kiss the Girl (The Little Mermaid)
Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
Belle (Reprise)
Home (Beauty and the Beast - The Broadway Musical) - 2
Something There (Beauty and the Beast)
Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
A Whole New World (Aladdin)
Can You Feel the Love Tonight (The Lion King)
Shadowland (The Lion King - The Broadway Musical) - 2
Just Around the River Bend (Pocahontas)
Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas)
God Help the Outcasts (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
I Won't Say I'm In Love (Hercules)
Honor to Us All (Mulan)
Reflection (Mulan)
Love Will Find A Way (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride)
You'll Be In My Heart (Tarzan) - 1
Strangers Like Me (Tarzan) - 3
When She Loved Me (Toy Story 2)
Where the Dream Takes You (Atlantis: The Lost Empire) - 4
Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride (Lilo & Stitch)

1 These two might seem a bit out of place to you here, but listen to my reasoning - these are both essentially wonderful lullabies sung by mothers (thus the feminine connection) to their children, not to mention that they are two of the best Disney songs ever IMHO.

2 Not having been in the films, I realize that these ARE odd placements but I really like the songs and think they'd work well in a DVD of this nature if Disney put the time and effort into it to make it cool. While they are is being sung (I would take the tracks from the original Broadway cast recordings) they could do one or two things: show a montage of clips from the films that focus on the singer (Belle and Nala, respectively), or, if they wanted to be even cooler, cut to a specially filmed scene of the song being performed live in the stage version.

3 I know this one seems odd to put in here, but it deals a lot with Tarzan's feelings for Jane devoleping and is sort of focused on her, so it might work.

4 Yeah, it's not in the movie, just over the credits, and it is more of a pop song, but I like it and think it could fit in here well if they edited together some footage from the movie to show onscreen as it was playing (somewhat simmilar to what they did for the Barbra Strisand music video version of Some Day My Prince Will Come on the Snow White DVD.)

Wow, sounds like a great cd, but isn't it a little too long? It would have to be a 2 disc set or something if it had all of those songs.

Some Day My Prince Will Come, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes, Cinderella
Once Upon A Dream, Sleeping Beauty
Kiss The Girl, The Little Mermaid
Belle, Beauty and the Beast
A Whole New World, Aladdin
Colors Of The Wind, Pocahontas
Dust? Anyone? No?

i bet more info about the singalong DVD will be on the Brother Bear singalong DVD.
i was on the Disney Video and DVD website where i saw a trailer to the Brother Bear Singalong DVD. when watching it i saw clips of the Lion King one, the Pooh and Piglett one, the Brother Bear one and i also saw a couple scenes with Beauty and the Beast so my guest is that Beauty and the Beast will be one the Princess DVD. The only songs that i saw scenes of BatB were Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, and the new song Human Again. I also remember seeing a old trailer when the singalong DVDs first came out where they introduced the Pooh and Lion King ones and there were some scenes with The Little Mermaid (Under the Sea). so i know that BatB and Little Mermaid songs will be on the DVD
