Pre-Ordering at the Disney Store
How many of you do/ have done it? I usually do it. It's not that much than you would pay somewhere else and you get the great lithographs. With Snow White you got to pick a free DVD (I got Lady and the Tramp!) I ordered Sleeping Beauty there (have yet to pick it up
) and also ordered The Lion King and Nemo. It's a good deal in my opinion.
I have done it, but all the Disney Stores at my favorite malls closed!! The ones that were left were either way far away or somewhere I didn't want to drive to. That was in Raleigh, NC. Now I'm near (not in) Charlotte, NC and the closest Disney store to me, that I know of is almost 30 miles away
I would order from a Disney store if it were more convenient. Target is only 5 minutes down the road, so recently they have been receiving the funds from my Disney DVD account.

I pre-ordered Sleeping Beaty @ my local disney store but since i want the deluxe lion king set, i'll have to pick it up somewhere else. The same story goes for Finding nemo, i'm going to have to order it thru the catalog b/c i want the plushies/pin set that come with the dvd. Right now they are having free shipping with any catalog order until oct 30th, i think....
But i usually pre-oreder with my local store. I like the fact that i get the lithos in advance and i can go pick it up myself instead of having to wait for the mail(ugh) is a major plus! Honestly, i don't see why people wouldn't pre-order with their stores (provided that they live close to one). The price of the dvd with the litho is the same price that walmart or best buy carries for sleeping beauty. Why not get something for free? Just MHO....

Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.

Pre-Ordered Lion King and Finding Nemo there, and those are the only movies we've ever pre-ordered. The main reason we did is beacuse our daughter loves them so much we know how much she'll love having the Lithos (some will eventually be framed).
This will not be a habit as it is otherwise more inconvenient for us to get our Disney movies there.

i pre-order for the free lithos but i don't hang them up or anything. maybe i'll have a disney room someday but until then, they are just sitting in the cupboard.
though some people do sell them on ebay for a profit so you might want to consider that. if you do sell it, make sure you wait a little so you can get more for it.
