Musical History of Disneyland CD set -- almost sold out

Post by englishboy »

These are available at Disneyland, WDW and through Disneydirect. On Disneydirect they became available today at Midnight and sold out by 3pm. Basically it's a six cd set of the music of disneyland, including some old attractions (innerspace, america sings). Just so you know, some of these tracks can be found elsewhere, even on-line. But the sets are limited to 5000 total. Disneydirect then found an additional supply (probably from the theme parks) and are selling those now. The limited edition comes with the additional record and the red cloth box. The sets will be available without those items again in September, but at the same price.

I ordered one. I don't yet know if I'll keep it or just upload all of the tracks to my Itunes and then sell it on Ebay. I want to see the extras. But either way, if you're interested in getting a set, I assume they'll be entirely gone in a day or so.

Does anyone know a track list or when it will ship????? I know there are givens such as the themes from haunted mansion, pirates, and tiki tiki room, all of which I own, but I'm wondering if the music dates back to 1955 when the park opened and stuff and if anyone knows any specific tracks. By the way, I think Disneydirect has sold out again. I will be in Disney World next month, so I wonder if they will have any left. I would rather be safe than sorry, so i bought it online. For those who missed it, you are allowed to call stores in the parks and order things and have them shipped.

I got my set yesterday in the mail (#0721) and it's great!!! I suggest anyone that missed out the limited edition to make sure they pick up the "special edition" of the set from disneydirect.com

Shipping---

Depends on when you ordered it.

If you ordered it right away, it should arrive this week. If you got in later that day--the first day it was offered--it should arrive at the end of May. (I called and asked. I ordered first day. Mine should arrive next week.) If you order it now, they are saying the end of June or the start of July. They were originally allowed 1000 united for mail order. From what I understand, they are now selling those units originally destined to Disneyland.

I went to Once Upon A Toy and World of Disney a couple days ago, they still had a lot out.

Gonna wait till next Thursday to buy it, though, cause with my 20% discount I'll only pay about $100 instead of $125.

Is that the limited edition with the extra stuff that is available at once upon a toy? I ordered my set online, but I will be in Disney World in 2 weeks and if they still have them, would rather cancel my order and buy it there. Do you think they will still be there then?

Yeah, it's the limited edition with the book and the vinyl record.

How many weeks from now? Cause IIRC, there's only like 5000 or so, and the ones at Once Upon a Toy were in the 3000s, and at World of Disney were in the 4000s.

If I could, I'd buy an extra to sell you you (heck, I'd even sell it with my CM discount!), but I can only really afford to buy one for myself.

You have my jealousy. I salivate over that CD, but no way can I afford it right now.

You have my envy as well ZOOMBOOM0688, as its a wonderful album, and from the reviews I've read, it covers all of the tracks of the entire park.
And great avatar as well! Where did you get it?

Zoomboom, the one you posted a picture of is the "economy" version, essentially just Disneyland's soundtrack on 2 CD's. I wish I could get the DL 2-disc, since they only sell the WDW 2-disc in WDW.

The 6-disc/book/LP version is theme-park only I believe. I always see several stacks at Downtown Disney.
