What's your favorite animated-disney soundtrack?

this all depends on what type of music you like... (obviously) but still.... almost everyone loves disney music....!

y'know.... i was wondering... how the hell does disney get such good songs?! if one artist put together a bunch of would-be disney songs and made a disc... he could easily be a millionare! (even if it would take some warming up to because you dont immedietly associate it with disney).

My favorite disney soundtrack is Hunchback.... it has such meaningful songs with amazing music and lyrics.... and when you listen to it... you just get lost inside!!! :float:

Hunchback has arguably the best actual soundtrack (as in musical score) and the songs, although not perhaps the best to listern to in isolation do work well when played on the entirity of the disc.

If you just want to pop a cd on and listern to a song or two for a minor distraction and nothing more then perhaps The Lion King.

If you just want to pop a cd on and listern to a song or two for a minor distraction and nothing more then perhaps The Lion King.
the aladdin soundtrack also suitable for this description...

oh and another thing.... love the new avator! :D :D :D

It would be a tie between The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast... mainly because we played arrangements of both in my high school wind ensemble. i have fond memories of us singing along with the music and missing our cues to come in. OOPS! :oops: anything I've ever played instantly becomes my favorite to listen to :wink:

The Lion King is also my favorite soundtrack - both the Zimmer score and the original songs are awesome. Also love Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Pinocchio's soundtracks.

Love The Lion King, Tarzan, and Aladdin, but The Little Mermaid soundtrack is king...err..Queen.

I'd have to say Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast. Those are the only two sdtrks which i constantly leave in my cd changer. I have unconsciously memorized every single word to the songs to the point where i can sing them at any given moment during the day, with or without any music... My boyfriend and friends think i am such a nerd... Well, if loving disney that much makes me a nerd, then so be it!

The same thing happens with me! I got in trouble for it last year (and of course, no matter how hard I explained, teachers just did not understand my obsession-figures).

With me, it's Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback, Little Mermaid, or Sleeping Beauty.

OH, and Lion King 2 and the broadway version of Beauty and the Beast and Lion King (LOVE Heather Headley).

I would have to agree, that I listen to the Aladdin soundtrack alot, I have both the opriinal soundtrack, which has the unedited version of Arabian Nights (..."Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face"...) and I also went on ebay a couple months ago and invested in the wonderful Music Behind the Magic 4 CD set. It has the soundtracks for The Little Mermaid, BATB, and Aladdin, with all of it's deleted songs, which I love!!! It is such a great set and I encourage you all to buy it!!! You can't lose, whether you're a disney nut or not, but especially if you are a disney nut. Just think about it; you get three awesome soundtracks, plus demos, which are sometimes alternated versions (pleanty of those on the Little Mermaid one), and the deleted songs from Aladdin and the deleted song Silence is Golden from the Little Mermaid, which was an alternative to Poor Unfortunate Souls.

So yeah Aladdin is great. Also Cinderella. My mom is suppose to be taking me up to the Disney Store outlet in Rhehobath Deleware, sometime next month and I plan on getting the Soundtrack, which was on sale there for $9.99 w/o tax, the last time I was there, and it even includes the abandoned song I'm in the Middle of a Muddle, I think it's a demo, but cool none the less, although maybe if I wait for a SE/Platinum release of the Soundtrack following the movie's release, maybe all the abandoned/deleted songs from Cinderella will be on it...

Hunchback has great music, but I don't know if I would say it was the best soundtrack, most of the songs help move the story along, as well as move the person who is watching/listening, but I don't know if it has the most easy listening factor about it. Something like Mulan or Tarzan where all the songs are fun and nice I think those are nice soundtracks and I happen to own them, :twisted:

It's between Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King for me. But---the Lion King Broadway soundtrack is good as well.....

i think they are the best from Alan Meken and Disney.

Beauty and the Beast. Every peice of music in the movie is superb, from the songs to the score.

without question, beauty and the beast. that soundtrack is a homerun from start to finish. the songs are fun to sing but also in some cases give a huge amount of back story on characters and settings. it's amazing that it's very technical but at the same time very beautiful.

i like my 3 disc set of The Music of Disney set it have every old song movie, parks it's great! then of course pocahontas, lion king, SLEEPING BEAUTY!, Atlantis, Treasure planet, L&S, Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Little Mermaid, Magical Musical Moments Disney CD, lady and the tramp, Cinderella and many many more....... :D
