NEW Holiday Releases!

Post by James »

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, its just that I can't contain my bliss!
New holiday releases are coming, including some Disney Channel ones!
I love both the Disney Channel and Christmas, so I'm very excited about every single one of these five releases, even the new Disney Princess one!
Read what Luke wrote on the main page-
May 17, 2005 - A tiny bit of information has leaked in on five new holiday-themed Disney DVDs due in the fall, thanks to Amazon.com. On September 27th, Classic Holiday Stories and Holiday Celebration with Mickey & Pals will be released, each with the low suggested retail price of $14.99. Then on November 1, Disney Channel Holiday Compilation, Playhouse Disney Holiday 2005, and Disney Princess: Christmas of Enchantment arrive, with the slightly-higher $19.99 SRP. As of now, it's not clear what these DVDs (each up for preorder at 30% off) will contain, but one can make reasonable guesses from the titles that the offerings will include some seasonal 'toons and episodes. We'll have more details for you when they come in.
This means more Disney Channel! Yay! Now if only a release of the Christmas DCOM 'Twas the Night could come about, then I'd be set!
With the Mickey Mouse release will it be Halloween themed or Christmas themed? Anyway, whichever it is I think that it'll be either in preparation for the new, upcoming, Playhouse Disney, computer animated Mickey Mouse show that will probably air sometime next year, depending on this release's selling power or it might be just classic Mickey and Friends holiday shorts.
Either way, I'm very excited! Bravo Disney!

I can't wait! I almost always pick up at least one Disney Christmas DVD per year, and this year it looks like I'll have a lot to choose from! :santa:

I must ask the obligatory question:

MMP, are you the star of Holiday Celebration with Mickey & Pals?

5 exclamation points, might show signs of anger. I wonder if MMP really is one of the stars of the Mickey and Friends special, and just doesn't want to tell us ? Hmmmm.

From Disney Guru's analysis of Mickey Mouse's Pal being an angry figure, I think that we can say that Alex Pantoja's real name is Donald Duck. :P

Santa Mickey
Haha, I'm with you there! I'm wondering if "Classic Holiday Stories" and "Holiday Celebration with Mickey & Pals" are going to be part of the Classic Cartoon Favorites series? If they repeat shorts from the Treasures series, then I won't pick them up (unless the packaging's pretty and festive :P). If they aren't, then they sound interesting.

I definitely won't be getting myself the Playhouse Disney release, and the Princess one will have to have some pretty special stuff on it to warrant a purchase, but the Disney Channel release sounds promising. I wonder what will be on it?

I am hoping "Toy Tinkers" and "Corn Chips" with Donald & Chip 'n' Dale will be on the Classic Holiday Stories DVD.... (especially if they are not out this December on "The Chronological Donald: Volume 2").

Hopefully it won't be too long until we find out the contents.

This is so exciting I was so happy to come to the site and as usual the home page is my computer's home page and read the news of all these new Disney X-mas movies. I mean I dont know to much about them but I am very intrigued and cant wait to see pictures and stuff. Seems like this year is full of surprises and proving to be very promising :D .

I really hope these are direct transfers of the original video compilations with obvious remasterings and a few extra shorts, and not some dtv cgi or house of mouse junk.

Itd be great to thave the original Walt Disney Christmas, Scary Tales and Halloween Treats compilations on dvd... Im not holding up much hope though.
