It is true that Mickey and the Beanstalk is a short of the package feature Fun and Fancy Free, but it is also a short that can and has stood on it's own. I had a VHS that was recently retired permanatley that featured only this short.
The Sorceror's Aprentice is a part of Fantasia, and yet that is being included on the disc, and Fantasia is a title that is more commonly found in house holds than Fun and Fancy Free, and personally I think the Sorceror's Aprentis has been rammed down our throats more time than I can count, and is already found not only on the Fantasia DVD, but also on the Fantasia 2000 DVD.
PLEASE PLEASE everyone vote (even if you don't care, vote yes, for those of us who do want it.)
Mickey's Christmas Carol is also appearing on the upcoming treasure set, as are The Prince and the Pauper and Run Away Brain.
In addition all of Mickey's remaining color shorts, which were shown from 1939 - 1953, ending with The Simple Things, will be included.
That is every color cartoon that Mickey stared in, pre Mouse Works/House of Mouse, except for Mickey and the Beanstalk. Whether it is part of Fun and Fancy Free or not, is it right to single out and exclude only this cartoon, and why, it is a great cartoon, and should be made available with the rest for fans of Mickey to enjoy!!!
That is why, I am hoping to get as many people as possible to vote for this cartoon to be added to the Mickey Mouse in Living Color vol. 2 set.
I figure that with 3 whole months till it's DVD debut, there is still time to correct this egregious error.
In addition, to being a great cartoon, it is very historically important as it is the last cartoon in which Wlat Disney, himself, voiced the little Mouse we have all come to know and love.
Can someone please also post the number that we can call to voice our concerns about this release, I would like to call and email anyone of influence that I possibly can, because it would seem it does often make a difference.
