I've seen dozens and dozens of commercials and promos for this release, and I can't wait!!!!!!!! If Disney was doing this the right way, this release would (and could very possibly end up being) bigger than Lion King.
If you're a serious Disney fan, you're probably doing the same thing I am: putting Lion King and Sleeping Beauty on a scale, and watching SB far outweigh the other!

Man I have yet to see ONE TV promo for Sleeping Beauty ... and NO I'm not watching any of the skin flick channels. All the major networks, Playhouse Disney, etc., NOTHING.
Disney better market to me dammit or I'm not buying!
I'm serious.
Not one penny from me unless I get a promo.
Don't underestimate my stubborness, Disney!
...aww who am I kidding. I'm weak.

I really want Treasure of Matacumbe, it's an excellent film, though I wonder if it might be forever in the vault since it deals with people after the Civil War, and that there might be "racial tensions"... I hope not, though. I also would love to see Shipwrecked released, even though I don't think it was Disney released elsewhere, but not sure... Besides that, I'll think about it and post later.

Okay, got back quicker than expected!
First, I'll say that I don't buy any movies that are Anchor Bay, nor movies that are not in their OAR. So here are my three lists:
Titles *never* released on DVD:
The Shaggy Dog
The Shaggy D.A.
Third Man on the Mountain
In Search of the Castaways
Son of Flubber
Miracle of the White Stallions
Summer Magic
The Midadventures of Merlin Jones
The Monkey's Uncle
That Darn Cat!
Lt. Robin Crusoe USN
Follow Me, Boys!
The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin
$1,000,000 Duck
Now you See him, Now you Don't
The Strongest Man in the World
The World's Greatest Athlete
Charley and the Angel
Herbie Rides Again
One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing
Treasure of Matecumbe
Freaky Friday
Hot Lead and Cold Feet
Night Crossing
Shipwrecked
Titles I want released by Disney (not Anchor Bay):
The Happiest Millionaire
The Island at the Top of the World
Candelshoe
The Cat from Outer Space
The North Avenue Irregulars
The Watcher in the Woods
Titles I want re-released in their OAR:
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes
Blackbeard's Ghost
Snowball Express
The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again
Of course, there are more, but these are the ones I especially want (live-action only).

And it's great. Fantastic movie and a good disc - it even has the trailer, something Disney wouldn't include these days.Chernabog wrote:![]()
And Something wicked this way comes has been released on DVD...but..oh yes it´s Anchor Bay!
Hey Chernabog do you know anything about Disney's LD release of the film? I have heard it included a Ray Bradbury commentary track. Man, what I wouldn't give for that.
Lets hope MGM re-release this soon, with more supplements and hopefully some involvement from Bradbury.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
