Hey everybody! Well the reason for this topic is because my contract is up in June and i was wanting to shop aroud for a new service because 400minutes is not enough for me!! I have Verizon Right now and I'm actually really happy with it but in order to get 50 extra minutes I have to sign a yr contract. I was wondering what service everyone had and how they like it. Also, if you have free nation wide roaming tell me how the actaul phone service holds up, ex. static, no service, clear signal ..etc...THANKS GUYS
I have had good service and signal with them even in Cancun!
Also T-mobile has a new plan for limited time 1000minutes anytime plus free nights n weekends 4 $45.99 but Im not to sure about their signal in other areas besides here in TX
I love T-Mobile. They won the JD Power Award for Best Wireless Call Quality in Texas and 15 others for service, support and handsets. Please see http://www.jdpower.com/cc/global/awards ... y=T-Mobile for details. Here are a few reasons why you "GET MORE":
#1 by JD Power & Associates!
24 Hour Customer Services vs limited business hours
Only 12 Month Contracts vs 24 months
GSM technology, allows you to roam and keep your number when traveling abroad
Broader range of handsets to choose from, especially non-TMO branded.
A new phone every 11 months, vs 24 months with the others.
The most minutes for your money and the best value in wireless.
In terms of coverage, check out the amazing Coverage Check site at http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ and enter your zipcode for details.
As Cathertine Zeta-Jones would say "Come to T-Mobile and take your number to a better place. Get More "
One thing I've always wondered about the carrier that's "Raising the Bar" is how they service 50 Million customers during normal business hours? I'm sure long hold times is common. I always considered Cingular, but the policies and two year contracts keep me away
Well so far T-mobile is sounding ok. IF anyone travels here and has T-mobile how is the signal then? LOL im getting too technical now, but signal is very important esepcially when I go out of town. I remeber with Cingular I didnt' get good signal when I left my area.

No one can definitively answer that question. All someone can do, is offer vague information. Travel itself is vague and the US is too broad for anyone to make a statement specific enough to influence your decision. Lots of factors can impact signal strenght, like handset, in or outdoors, nearest tower and tower capacity, etc. Hence why T-Mobile and others have worry-free periods (14-30 days), to try out the service. T-Mobile has gone one step further and has posted a detailed coverage map with actual signal details. Again visit the site and type in your zipcode of your home, work place and any areas you travel to or through.
Visit http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ and after you enter your zip code, click the pink "street level coverage" button for the advanced map.

Wow thats good signal in Venus! but i think i might switch to T-mobile just for the basic fact that it has more minutes. I'll keep you posted
T-Mobile even has coverage in Atlantis and no roaming charges either
I use my phone to call my parents when I miss the bus or if I get lost in the middle of a big city. My family can call me so that they know where I am. I get tired so easily.
I use Verison, it's the only one I've had so far and it's been pretty good to me. My parents pay my phone bill... shhhhhhh. But anyways, I've been cut off once or twice because of poor reception but that's aboot it.
I finally checked the website and it seems ok except for some areas that I travel to dont have great coverage. Outside of Chicago area it's maybe fair signal but I guess Ill have to keep contemplating what Im going to do.
Verizon. My brother had Sprint at one time and HATED it, and I've heard cingular was bad too. I've always gotten great reception and I just recently broke my phone (totally my fault) and they replaced it for $50 (it's a $280 phone) and I didn't even have insurance on it!
Have been using verizon for five years now and haven't had a problem yet. It's very important to me since I don't use regular phones as a 20 something moving from apt to apt.
