Novelty titles

Post by Wonderlicious »

Recently, I've noticed that there are a number of users who have novelty titles. Instead of say, "gold collection" or "limited edition", thier title will be like "Ultraviolet Edition" (Deathie Mouse), "The Lion King" (ThiagoPE) or "In the Vaults" (various bannished ones :p). How do you get novelties such as these?

Apparently you have to get on Luke's good (or bad) side. It seems I belong nowhere on the spectrum, as I've asked Luke for a special title for ages now, and he's never granted my wish. :(

Generally, having custom titles is a pain, which is why I rarely agree to it. Because then you have everyone wanting a custom title and that's too much work for me to handle. "In the Vaults" is supposed to be a universal banned status, but I have to remember to update it and I don't always.

¡Isidoro, el amo es ultravioleta porque es especial y brilla en la obscuridad!

Hehe... ;)

Wonderlicious' thread should answer your question, but just to reiterate... 'Ultraviolet' is an example of a custom, or novelty, title that the admin changes himself for a specific user. It's not a common practice, though - usually Luke has a unique reason for doing it. So! :P

Ultra violet edition(again)

Post by Isidour »

Yesterday I saw on a member this message "Ultraviolet edition" as a new category, instead of "Limited editon"
I just want to know if this is a new category or just a personal title.
And for the one who deleted my orignal post, I ask at least to explain me the reason wth a PM

thanks

Excuse me for bumping this, but can anyone explain why Isidour is now a Walt Disney Treasure? Is it a novelty title or has it just been introduced?

There are a few of them now and I'm wondering how long they have been like that. I just noticed 20 minutes ago when I got on. If it's been like that a while I guess I sure haven't been paying attention!

Masterpiece Edition has been changed to Walt Disney Treasure, since the former collection seems to have gone the way of the dodo after just one release. Anyone in that 2000 - 5000 post range will have this new title. This was done a few days ago.

Hi

Post by Disney Guru »

I like the new Walt Disney Treasure thing.

But I kinda miss Masterpiece Edition, to bad that only one Masterpiece edition dvd was released than it went as Luke put it "the way of the dodo".
