DOS actually played two roles in Pocahontas - he was also the voice of Ratcliffe's servent Wiggins.Luke wrote:
Cogsworth in B & B, the Archdeacon in Hunchback, Harcourt in Atlantis, Jumba in Lilo & Stitch, Governor Ratcliffe in Pocahontas.
Plus in live action movies, the Russian mafia don Jovanovich in "Jungle 2 Jungle" and the race president in "Iron Will." Of course, a lot of people still know him from "MASH."
He's like the Sterling Holloway of this generation, though, in terms of most-frequently appearing Disney voice actor.
Coming To Theaters In 2004

Some people may also remember DOS as Mr. Bauer - the crazy patron of the pizza place in 'Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place'. He used to talk about the plots of movies, Tv shows etc as though they were his own life experiences.

They managed to fit in a few Disney references into his delusions too.
As listed on this site, some of his delusions included:
- He was a member of the Apple Dumpling Gang.
- He was replaced by Buzz Lightyear.
I loved that show...

i'm actually looking forward to this one a little bit. mainly cause of the alan menken involvement. i actually fulfilled my dream of working for Disney. a country artist named tim mcgraw is singing the theme to the movie, and i got to work on it! it's a really cool song and i think tim did a really good job on it. it's a perfect disney movie song too.

I kinda liked that show, but then they dropped the "and a Pizza Place" (SNL did a HILARIOUS sketch on that)...and it seemed also to drop its uniqueness. When I catch a rerun on WE (a network I'm not in the habit of watching...honestly, I swear!) it seems that the later episodes (though all of them have been re-titled for syndication I think) lost the charm and became a run-of-the-mill dating sitcom.Loomis wrote:Some people may also remember DOS as Mr. Bauer - the crazy patron of the pizza place in 'Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place'.
As for Hidalgo, when this thread was first posted (in early July), I believe it was still on the fall slate, that's why.
I guess "The Miracle" will pretty much be unaffected by Herb Brooks' death (though I'd guess there will be a dedication to it). Too bad he won't get to see the final project.
Replying to this old thread, because there isn't much new to reply to!
In any event, it's interesting to look back a year later and look at the way the 2004 films have turned out. We're all still waiting for The Incredibles, and at least in my case, that's anxiously waiting!
Emperor Zehnder doesn't seem to be a Disney film at this point, but according to IMDb, production has been delayed until late 2004.
As for the other three, I haven't been outright disappointed by any.
Teacher's Pet was a surprisingly enjoyable fast-paced comedy.
Miracle was more than a bit formulaic, but interesting and very watchable.
Home on the Range lacked the all-powerful Disney magic, but like Teacher's Pet, it had a nice brisk pace, if slightly weaker comedy. I think the film's greatest strengths lied in its characters, and overall, it is a fairly decent effort.
Looking ahead, 2005 seems promising for Disney, as well, even if we'll have to get used to the unusual lack of a traditionally animated Disney Feature Animation production.
