Yes, as someone said, vastly underrated. A very very great buy and a good edition to any DVD collection. I loved the drastic change of style Disney undertook with TENG, nice and fresh. 8)

The 1-Disc for $25, I assume.
Well, yes..if you liked Tarzan..
And if you didn't watch it, you'll probably like the song choices. :p

Out of curiousity, where do you find a $25 Tarzan DVD?
on Ebay? :?

Well, then..if it's a *real* Region 1 DVD with insert and no scratches (or new), then yea, I think it's worth $25. (I say that because I liked Tarzan! :))

Both of these movies are worth buying, eap_44! These are great classics and I cant believe you havent even seen them yet! I am really cheap, so its up to you if you wanna pay. But those do sound reasonable, considering they are hard to find.

Thank you soooo much Englishboy, I have been wanting to buy this one for so long but the price always held me back since I already have the single disc edition. But had to order it when I saw it for 16.99. Just got it in the mail yesterday. Thanks for the heads up.

Better late than never, but might as well say that I ordered mine on April 28, and got it May 5.

Well, the Post Office wasn't able to find any record that they ever received this from Best Buy, so BB just shipped out a new copy today... Let's hope I receive it soon.

I finally got my copy on saturday! Best Buy re-shipped the disc via UPS, instead of going through the Post Office. I still don't know what happened to the first disc, but I guess that is Best Buy's problem now...

Emperor's New Groove: CE Question

Post by MinnieMe »

Sooo I've looked everywhere for this one. Everyone seems to have it for $35.99, which seems like an outrageous amount of money for a 2 disc release (I know, MSRP is $39.99). Even overstock.com is selling it for over $28! So if everyone is selling it for a huge amount, how come DMC is not selling it for more?

DMC's regular prices have never seemed like a "deal" to me. This one makes me suspicious... Is the version up for $21.95 really the same as the 2 disc collector's edition everyone sells for like $13 more??

It looks like the real thing. I'm really surprised they have it at this price too, considering they have the first cartoon classics for 21.95 and 19.95 when their SRP is only 14.99. :o
They also have the Aladdin 2-pack for a good price compared to the SRP.

I can confirm it is the 2-disc Collector's Edition because I recently bought one.

Excuse me, but can you tell me where on DMC is this CE of Emperor's New Groove? Becuase I tried to look for this and all the editions I see look like the single disc edition!

Go to Browse A-Z on the left side and then click on E and it should be listed there.

I did exactly that and these are the versions I saw:

The Emperor's New Groove
and
The Emperor's New Groove-Widescreen

Which one is the CE? :?

that's odd, on mine between those 2 is where they have the CE. Have you bought all the movies in the agreement yet? Maybe that has something to do with it.

On mine the CE is listed in between the regular TENG and the widescreen edition.

Weird!

I should order it soon since the new TENG is coming out... I wonder if they will pull it from the list when they have the new release :?
