That poster is really boring. It doesnt even have the title of the movie.

I will definetly be tuning into tonight on the Wonderful World of Disney to catch clips of the new movie (Does anyone else think it is wierd that Disney is showing a WB movie?). Plus, its been so long since Ive seen The Chamber of Secrets.

Anybody know when The Goblet of Fire will be released?

I am so irritated! :x Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is supposed to be on ABC right now, but instead they are airing reruns of Friends and Wheel of Fortune. What gives??? I hope I don't miss the trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

For some reason, certain parts of the U.S. had the Chamber showing at 7 pm while others had it at 8 pm (we're talking Eastern states, here). Either way, never fear for the teaser trailer is here!

High-Res Quicktime

The teaser trailer (while the vaguest Harry Potter teaser, yet) is very well-made and dramatic. I love how they began it with progressive shots of the trio throughout the films. It gives a sense of unity to all of these installments despite the different directors (and now composer).

Who else enjoyed the extended version of Chamber of Secrets? I know all of those scenes were available as bonus material on the DVD, but I loved seeing them in their proper places. The film really benefitted from many of them (the attacks on Filch, Colin, and Justin seem less random now that we find out Filch is a squib and the other two are muggle-born; the fact that Harry asks Tom about the Chamber seems less contrived, as well). I really hope WB releases this cut (as well as extended cuts for films one and three) to DVD.

It apparently started at 7 here and lasted until 11. Unfortunately, I forgot about it and caught only a few seconds of a GoF preview... I missed the extended cut and the Narnia teaser (which the website says won't be up until the 11th now :().

But at last, the teaser trailer for HP4 is here! A lot of it is footage we've already seen stills of, but I'm still very excited!!

John Williams isn't composing? I think I knew that but forgot. Disappointing. :(

Yeah, it was because his schedule couldn't allow him to toggle both Revenge of the Sith and Goblet of Fire, and since he's already done 5 Star Wars films, it makes sense that he'd commit to that for the final one. Since this is the only reason I've heard for his not coming back for GoF, I assume that means he'll be back for the rest of the series.

The tailer was awesome! I still wish Rupert would cut his dang hair (same with Dan I guess)! But Emma looks great as usual. I wonder how long they'll have to make this. They seem to really be focusing alot on the Yule Ball dance right now. Not a very big point as far as I'm concerned.

"My, how they've grown" is apparently the reaction they were going for with that opening. And like lord-of-sith says, "they" includes the hairs on their heads. Not knowing the story, I'm still excited, though it might be hard to top the last installment for me.

If the movie is anything like the book, that's a feat that the movie will easily topple! So far, how much I've liked each book and how much I've liked each movie have lined up in retrospection (3's the best, followed by 1, then 2)*. Book 4 is my favorite book so far so let's hope it's the best movie, too!

*I think 2 is better-acted and maybe even better-made on the whole, but not a big enough difference to overcome the superior storyline in the first and its inherent charm.

This was my least favorite of the Harry Potter books, so I'm not too excited.

Very, very cool. Once the trailer gets past the 'aww, they were so cute and now they're all adolescent and must make hard decisions, poor things" part, the footage looks awesome (except that mermaid, who was a little too cartoony) and I for one love the poster (though I think the "choice between what is right and what is easy" quote would go better than "dark and difficult times . . ." and they should have at least put a comma after 'ahead', I mean, come on . . .) but I'm STOKED! And I'm going to go look at the stills thread, because I haven't checked that out yet.

I don't like the poster.

Someone sent me the actual movie trailer, but I seemed to have misplaced it... it looks great though!
