Secrets, Stories and Magic etc - Cover art ?

Post by Tony »

I am assuming the reason why we have not seen the cover art for this DVD, is because Disney have been holding off until at least today to obtain a picture of the modified Sleeping Beauty castle in all it's 50th anniversary gold and jewel splendor ??

THe cover art looks pretty cool. I'm still wondering if that is a photograph of the castle with the 50th decorations or a photograph of the castle with 50th decorations drawn on or a drawing of the castle with the 50th decorations. Still it looks nice!

Though I wish they had the costumed version of the characters (you know, the kind you meet and greet at Disneyland for real) or at least the Fab five dressed for each land they designed for the 50th celebration as seen below. The art used for Mickey and the gang on the DVD looks like the kind used for products not made by Disney like the postcards you find in Florida outside of Disney.

Thanks Luke,

I'm really looking forward to this release, but do we know if any of the content will be rehashed from the Disneyland Treasure discs, or any of the theme park exclusive discs or extras from the Disneyland show that have been featured numerous times on various other DVD's?

Same with the original MMC disc... do we know yet whether it will feature the same episodes from last year's Treasure set?

Well the Disneyland DVD says it's an all-new documentary, so if they're rehashing content that'd be blatant lying, so I wouldn't count on recycling. We're not sure about the MMC disc yet, but there were SO MANY episodes that I'd be quite surprised if any of the best stuff came in the first week. But then we're not sure how long clips will be, if it's going to be something of a fast-paced highlight reel or with like complete sketches. Guess you'll just have to wait for reviews to be sure, but the Secrets, Stories & Magic disc sounds safe.
