You know, I'm expecting Lion King to not have it.philipp616 wrote:I hope the Platinum and Special Edition Titels will still have booklets in the future..
Last I heard, the case of Lion King was described as a "Special Amaray Book-Like Case", which leads me to believe it opens in the middle, and has a disc on the left an right side of the case within, leavingno room for an insert.
I wouldn't be surprised if this became the new standard case for two disc releases, seeing as the double-flap Amaray is only in existence to made room for the insert anyway.
This is just speculation on my part though.

I'm expecting a case like the Beauty and the Beast case last year. That was opened like a book too..Jack wrote:You know, I'm expecting Lion King to not have it.philipp616 wrote:I hope the Platinum and Special Edition Titels will still have booklets in the future..

The case you describe sounds more like a digipak. I think if lion king gets a digipak they would say 'digipak' and not 'Special Amaray Book-Like Case'
I hope the DVD will have such a nice booklet like Snow White and Beauty and the Beast. A --SPECIAL-- DVD is a little less special whithout a nice booklet in it.
Whats with The love bug SE and 20000 leagues under the sea SE? Any booklets in the cases?

Weird...
I just bought "The Rescuers" at my local Coconuts (the only store that seems to carry it around here) and noticed that it only brought the same old boring cover art since the big "recall", the disc (of course) and little paper that said "Attention owners of original Rescuers video".
I noticed it was weird that it didn't have a card that mentioned the bonus features or the Chapter List.
It seems that The Rescuers has been poorly released, since I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere besides Coconuts. Not even the online Disney Store has it. No TV announcement (even though it was the first DVD release of this feature) Besides that, it didn't even have a label. No SPECIAL EDITION, no PLATINUM Edition, No (thank God) GOLD Classic COLLECTION, no nothing, just plain Disney's The Rescuers.
I wonder if this has something to do with the Rescuers "recall"

What's wrong with the Gold Collection? I wish Disney had stick to it - if only for the sake of uniform collectability. No SPECIAL EDITION, no PLATINUM Edition, No (thank God) GOLD Classic COLLECTION, no nothing, just plain Disney's The Rescuers.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

No Insert
I have found that all of the Disney DVD's released recently have no insert, with the exception of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. I don't really mind for some like Tom And Huck, but when big movies like The Love Bug and The Rescuers don't have them, it makes me mad. By the way, why are those 2 titles only available at Wal-Mart?

Re: No Insert
I agree, it does seem strange that Wal Mart is the only store selling them.goofystitch wrote:I have found that all of the Disney DVD's released recently have no insert, with the exception of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
