I know your pain.. I passed outtomothy81 wrote:One of the worst pains that I have ever felt in my life was when I had a root canal. When they cut the nerve I remember tears running down my face, I was holding back the best I could but man that was painful. That was like 10 years ago, but I still hate the dentist, I haven't been in a while.
I hate all doctors they never have any good news, everytime I go to the doctor my blood pressure is high and I tell him it's because of the fact that I am at the doctor. I remember one time it was like 160 over 92 I think, thats really bad. He always tells me that I need to relax, and I tell him that I am relaxed....when I'm not there.

i do....it sucks so bad. I hafta wear a splint at night cause I grind. But my splint doesn't fit right now cause i had a root canal done and got a crown so i need to get my splint readjusted. My jaw makes so many weird cracking noises when i eat and open my mouth. It always feels tender too....luckily, the orofacial pain clinic i go to is great.
It's up to you and me, to face our destiny. The jury's here so let's take the stand.

getting my wisdom teeth out was hell. I got em out during spring break in March and I chose to be sedated (i just don't think i could have sat there while they yanked teeth out of my head). Besides, my teeth were impacted, so they were going to have to dig around a bit. I went under quick and i remember opening my eyes a few times but my oral surgeon (who's a Godsend I must add) told me to close my eyes again. I had to be stitched up on one side and once i got home and the numbness wore away, i felt so bad. I had to take the vicodin that he prescribed and i constantly felt nauseous cause my mouth my bleeding a lot and i had to constantly change the gauze that i was biting down on. Plus, i drooled bloody on my pillow (i know, too much info).
I woke up the next morning with huge cheeks and hardly being able to open my mouth...i ate oatmeal for the next 4 days.
I'm so glad now that i got em out cause they were totally ruining the alignment of the rest of the teeth and they would hurt so bad sometimes that i would be crying. It would make all the teeth in my mouth hurt.
It's now may, almost 2 months since and i've still got some space back there and foods get caught sometimes, but it's sooo much better! THANK GOD for my oral surgeon, gosh I'm in love with him. I'd probably get it done all over again for him! Well, maybe not....
