Went to the dentist today
First time in years. Nine cavities and all four wisdom teeth have to go. No wonder I avoid the dentist like the plague. No news is good news.

You DON'T want your wisdom teeth out. Trust me. Hurts like the dickens! I think I entered a whole new world of pain. I had mine taken out two years ago because when they were starting to come in, they would hurt so badly I would cry. Plus I was always getting food stuck back there and I couldn't eat anything with nuts. Which stunk for me because I LOVE banana nut muffins. When my mom FINALLY took me to a dentist to have my wisdom teeth pulled the dentist could only do one side because I cried so much when he showed the needle with the novocaine. I had to come back the next week to do the other side (that time with no crying!) The only good part was that I basically got to have whatever I wanted for dinner (chicken noodle soup and ice cream). The vicodin I got helped for the pain but it caused me to watch a fourth of July fireworks celebration going "OOOOOOOOOOOOH! Pretty colors!" Also, for Mr. Toad if the dentist gave you any penicillin TAKE IT AND TAKE IT ALL. It's either not take the medicine and get an infection or take it and avoid the infection. Because an infection would require a trip to an oral surgeon.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

I have to go to an oral surgeon anyways, the big problem is two of the wisdom teeth are buried and digging into the root of other teeth. Gonna have to get them boys out by surgery, but I have known that for 25 years, just been avoiding it.

Fortunatly, my wisdom teeth don't need to be pulled out cuz they're coming in strait. But, I never really thought that getting cavities filled was a big deal. I mean it didn't hurt when they injected the novacane into your mouth, but that's because it numbs you up right away. I haven't been to the dentist for a while, I think it's because they changed our dental plan.

Financially the fillings are not bad. 90% covered. And most of them are small. Only one bad one.
I dont know about the wisdom teeth though, I will have to look it up.
I have been really bad. I have had a really good dental plan for five years and gone once before today.

Ah yes. The infamous wisdeom teeth. I had to get those removed --- my mouth was too small. They were straight, just compacted. I don't remember much from the actual surgery; just waking up afterwards being completely drugged and wanting to go home. I staggered out of the room. Haha.
Recovery is quite unpleasent. I had to sleep with cottonballs in my mouth. My mouth was SORE. I mean, wowie. I could only have liquids, and macaroni and cheese, to eat. And then once the pain went away my stitches started to dissolve. That was a lot of fun -- discovering stiches in your mouth and having to spit them out.
After having surgery on my jaw, my jaw now cracks when moving the lower jaw to the right. I catch myself cracking my jaw when I'm bored -- it doesn't hurt. In fact, my jaw feels better after I crack it.
I'm glad to have them removed when I did. That next summer I went to college and I didn't have to worry about any oral surgery for the rest of my life! Unless some weird accident happens...
Good luck with the surgery!

Ouchy!
a few months ago a dentist tok off one of my temporary teeth but it was like stucked, I get like 7 or 8 shots of nobocaine because even when I was drugged I could feel pain, at the end I had half face sleep and a teeth with a piece of bone or something out of my mouth
--I mean, the root or whatever was holding the teeth was like two times bigger than the teeth itself--

One of the worst pains that I have ever felt in my life was when I had a root canal. When they cut the nerve I remember tears running down my face, I was holding back the best I could but man that was painful. That was like 10 years ago, but I still hate the dentist, I haven't been in a while.
I hate all doctors they never have any good news, everytime I go to the doctor my blood pressure is high and I tell him it's because of the fact that I am at the doctor. I remember one time it was like 160 over 92 I think, thats really bad. He always tells me that I need to relax, and I tell him that I am relaxed....when I'm not there.

Hi
Sounds like a very scary dentist trip. I know what you feel like though. Even though I take beautiful care of my teeth. I inherited a gene from my mom, which was her rotten teeth. You might think that is hogwash, but a doctor said that condition is inherited once in a while. So I know what pain is at the Dentist Office. I avoid the Dentist like a plague. The shots never work on me and I always feel the whole thing, last time I was at the dentist he shot me 11 times and it never took effect. Scary! I had a root canal without having any tranquilizer. OUCH!
