1930's - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
1940's - Pinocchio
1950's - Cinderella, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty (tie)
1960's - 101 Dalmatians
1970's - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
1980's [pre-Mermaid] - The Great Mouse Detective*
1980's - The Little Mermaid
1990's - Aladdin
2000's - Lilo & Stitch

* I really think that Mermaid belongs to an entirely different time and era for WDFA than the other 1980s classics so I decided to give them two slots. Obviously however The Little Mermaid wins out over Mouse Detective.

Obviously? I really liked Great Mouse Detective, over Little Mermaid even!

1960's: 101 Damatians
1970's: Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
1980's (pre-Mermaid): Fox and the Hound
1980's: Little Mermaid or Mickey's Christmas Carol (can't decide)
1990's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (the greatest Disney film, no, the greatest film of all time!!!!!)
2000's: Lilo and Stitch (so far, at least...Brother Bear or Mickey's Three Musketeers could win)

i agree with everyones classic favs but i wonder why no one mentions Atlantis for this decade so far. i really enjoyed that one and i liked the comic book/adventure elements of it. thought it was a nice little change of pace for disney.

OK I'll play:

1930's: Mickey's Service Station (come on, it's pointless including the 1930's if every one picks Snow White so I've included shorts for the 30's)
1940's: The Three Caballeros
1950's: Sleeping Beauty
1960's: 101 Dalmatians
1970's: The Rescuers (with reservations, perhaps Winnie The Pooh)
1980's: Basil, The Great Mouse Detective
1990's: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
2000's: Return to Neverland

Hooray another Basil fan! I think Basil has one of the best climatic scene's in any animated movie, everything from when Orlivia gets kidnapped (again) to the end is pure gold in my book.

Loved Atlantis, but The Emperor's New Groove just felt more like a Disney movie. Very endearing chracaters and many, many laugh-out-loud moments...especially in the interactions between Yzma and Kronk.

I LOVE Basil! Here it's just the Great Mouse Detective as our title. Anyway, I think it's a great film, need to find the DVD!

I suggest not including the Pixar films, because really, Disney didn't make them. Besides, Toy Story 2 was in the 90s, not 2000s.

1930s -- well duh. Snow White

1940s -- Dumbo. Best Disney Ever! :)

1950s -- Sleeping Beauty

1960s -- The Jungle Book

1970s -- Aristocats (by default, because it was a weak decade)

1980s -- The Little Mermaid

1990s -- Beauty and the Beast

2000s -- The Emperor's New Groove

Hey... who likes cake?
The very existence of Dumbo is a fairly persuasive argument against agnosticism.
