They didn't close because it was boring(alot of people liked it) but because they needed to update Tomorrowland. Of coarse it sucked because they replaced the enjoyable "America Sings" for the crappy Innoventions, moved the Astro Orbiter down so it turned into Dumbo with rockets, and took away the submarines and couldn't think of a replacement until 9 years latter. The only change that was good was the HISTA 3-D which is now old as dirt!

Well, Astro Orbiter always seemed like Dumbo with rockets, much like how Magic Carpets of Aladdin is...Dumbo with carpets.

America Sings closed in the mid/late 80s, and Innoventions didn't arrive in Tomorrowland until 1998 I believe.

And in semi-or-unrelated news, Disney-MGM Studios will soon be known solely as Disney Studios. I believe by late-June, though the Studios DVD was recently released, thus completing the "quadrilogy" of sorts for Theme Park DVDs (at least for Walt Disney World).

Well Astro Orbiter was higher up so it gave the ride more of a thrill than Dumbo. No that's lower, you might as well ride Dumbo since there is no difference.

Well Innoventions is a crappy follow up to America Sings is what I should've said!
